Steelbook done right
5Note to everyone responsible for that appallingly boring steelbook of ‘The Eternals’: *THIS* is how you showcase a ton of characters! The film itself is review-proof — Marvel fans have certainly seen it more than once, and if you haven’t watched it even once then you probably don’t like the MCU anyway. The only part I don’t like about this release is that it marks the end of this set of Mondo releases. Hopefully, in a few months there shall be an announcement about the remaining films in the canon: ‘Iron Man 3’, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ — and some clarity on the ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy as well as ‘The Incredible Hulk’.

5The culmination of 22 films needs to have an ending worthy of its predecessors. Endgame is that and then some. 60+ Marvel characters on screen at one time? Yes, please! The Russo brothers outdid themselves with this one. They created one of the greatest film moments in history (in my biased opinion) when Cap proves he’s worthy and raises that hammer to every Marvel fans’ delight. Followed by Tony proving he is the guy to make the sacrifice play, a true hero. A real crowd pleaser that marks the end of one era, and opens the door for others to carry on the fight. It’s bittersweet in the end, but the journey is the real prize. Leaves you wanting to watch the Saga all over again! The MONDO artwork is great, too. Hopefully they fill in the gaps this year with more releases from the Infinity Saga. We need em’ all!
