Ninja Scroll

I've had this amazing anime on the 2 disc dvd 10th Anniversary Special Ed box for ages so thought it was about time to upgrade it to the shiny steelbook blu-ray. Firstly, love the steelbook case, artwork & booklet. However, the film is screened in 'pillar-box' style, with no menu option to change it to widescreen, which most televisions are these days.At least my Anniversary Ed included a widescreen dvd as well as a full screen disc. Also, the enhanced sound is a bit weird so i switched it in the options. A disappointing release for such a superb film.i will of course be keeping hold of my original 2 disc Ninja Scroll dvd box after all.

Excellent value

The BR copy of this is the best this classic anime movie is ever going to look. The steelbook & artbook only sweeten the deal. A must for any 90s anime fan.

A great anime film I only watched after recently getting, with very good animation in a highly recommended steelbook release.

Getcha ninja on

B u too full. Top 10 steel and I gotta hundred +. Region A and B so it plays in US. If you own the UK Akira steel this is it's companion. So, in review if you consider yourself an anime aficionado this is a must.

Good But Not That Good

I got this as a present for someone at christmas, i was a little dissapointed to find out that the format on both the Blu Ray and DVD were in pillowbox format. Pillowbox format is when there are two big black bars on both sides of the screen so you don't get a full picture view. Yes the clarity and sound are very well done as is the look of the steelbook and booklet that comes with this. But overall this is not even close to the standard of the recent akira steelbook that was released which was an excellent steelbook edition.

One of the best Ninja anime movie outhere

5

Ninja Scroll - Steelbook Edition is a classic anime with great art and story. This anime is beautifully animated and still hand-drawn (unlike today's anime with lots of CGs). It is very violent and has lots of fighting scenes. With a steelbook casing, both Blu-ray and DVD are included. I really love this anime and it's well worth including in your collection.

Fantastic

5

A classic anime film restored and remastered, presented on Blu-ray. Packaging for this title is fantastic, comes in a G1 Steelbook, collector's booklet and a dvd copy of the film. A fantastic film with a complementing package. 4/5 for picture quality, 4/5 for audio quality and 5/5 overall. Recommended!

A real thriller

John Carpenter returns to the big screen in Ninja Scroll and it is quite a triumph! Plenty of twists and turns, with an unexpected finale. 4/5 for picture quality, 4.5/5 for audio quality and 4/5 overall. Recommended!

Epic

5

This was one of the first Anime Movies that I saw in my life and it's still one of my favorites nearly 20 years later. Its lost nothing from it's epic ness back in the days and I wonder if there ever will be a real sequel besides the series. The steelbook also looks great and for the fans out there the best choice to own this animated masterpiece.
