Excellent movie with outstanding performances from the lead actors. Music adds value to the scenes and the dialogues are very good.

Great. Simply Great

5

when I read that there would be a movie made about the origins of facebook, I admit, I was a little skeptical. But David Fincher's (Se7en) directing and Aaron Sorkin's (The West Wing) writing bring so much to the film that it is more than your average drama. It is a real work of art. Gripping from beginning to end and not shot in that "You WILL feel sorry for the main character" kind of way. You will go from loving to hating the main character sever times over in the course of the film. Watch it, You can't miss this one!

Shows how great things can sometimes come from bad things

5

It's a great irony that, behind the most popular social interaction tool the world has yet known, lies an utterly self-centered and largely unsociable young Harvard-educated nerd - Mark Zuckerberg. The extraordinary story of how he found himself fighting two separate lawsuits as his website reached the height of its fame is told in this extraordinary film. THE SOCIAL NETWORK uses a time-shift technique, with the events of the court cases interspersed with the original events which lead to it. Most viewers will quickly form a dislike of Zuckerberg, who pervades arrogance and bitterness as he steals ideas, lies to his few close friends, and chases the high-life as soon as a glimpse presents itself - all while barely raising a smile or cracking a joke. His devious interactions with the wealthy and relatively spoilt Winklevoss brothers either, or with MySpace founder Sean Parker (played by a scene-stealing Justin Timberlake of all people), and his one friend on campus make for gripping viewing.

An unexpectedly brilliant film

A film about the creation of Facebook... Sure... of all the topics to make a film on, this is what director David Fincher chose to do. I'm glad he did. It was an extremely interesting movie, with brilliant acting by everyone involved.

The Social Network

For anyone who hasn't seen the movie, this is a David Fincher classic. Perfectly crafted and a story that may or may not be the exact truth of how Facebook came to be, but in the end it doesn't matter. The movie is less about how Facebook started, and more about the characters and how they intertwine, Zuckerberg's unique anti-social character and the friendships that he creates and burns. There's an underlying energy and emotion that is completely relatable, even though the characters themselves may be somewhat unrelatable. The Blu Ray transfer is pristine, as is to be expected considering the film's digital acquisition. It is a pleasure to watch, and the Special Features are a treat. Definite watch for anyone interested in how films are made.
