One Ring To Rule Them All

The Lord Of The Rings is a series of three epic-fantasy novels, created by author J.R.R. Tolkien. They function as a sequel to The Hobbit (1937) and were written between the years 1937 and 1949. It is rare for a follow-up to become more successful than the original; however, The Lord Of The Rings did exactly that. Due to the books’ immense popularity, three critically acclaimed films were made.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (2001) was the first instalment in the trilogy. Directed by Peter Jackson and produced by Barrie M. Osborne, the story follows Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), a young Hobbit who inherits the One Ring from his uncle, Bilbo Baggins. Created by Sauron, Frodo and his friends embark on a quest to destroy the Ring on the slopes of Mount Doom.

Following The Fellowship Of The Ring, The Two Towers was released in 2002. This was then followed by the highly anticipated finale in 2003, The Return Of The King.
