Splendid fun...
3I thought you'd get all the DLC in Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box. I was actually a bit disappointed when I found out that you only get in on about half of it. In all other aspects the game rocks, however it can get a bit repetitive at times. I'd rate it 4 stars and subtract one for the missing DLC.

Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box
4It is a solid Burnout game but without the split screen experience it doesn't live up to the legacy of the previous games. Still on its own is a good game and I would recommend it to any Burnout fan.

Classic Burnout...
4Criterion have done it again with Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box! This is a near perfect game which has all the aspects of a classic Burnout title. All the classic missions and vehicles are there, along with a few new ones and it's great to look at. The only one nagging thing is the constant driving around. Say for example, you don't win a race... in order to start the race again, you need to drive back to the starting point, which depending on how long the race is, could be right on the other side of the island. But this is really only a minor thing as driving around is good fun! And it's Paradise City! The classic Guns and Roses song features in a classic game!

Somewhat Disappointing
3After the very successful Burnout 3 Takedown and Burnout Revenge, I was left feeling rather disappointed with Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box. Sure the trophies are great, but the open world game play doesn't fit the Burnout games. Burnout should've remained the arcade style of the previous titles. If you're a trophy hunter, then by all means go for it, but if you expect a classic 'all epic' Burnout game, then you may be left disappointed.

Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box
3As a fan of the original Burnout game on the PS2, and as my friends and I have recently started trophy hunt, I decided to buy Burnout: Paradise due to the high number of trophies in the game. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed at the repetitive nature of the game. You're basically racing between 6 locations on the map (which is half the size of any GTA map) until you eventually earn your "Burnout" license. Yes there are several different race types, Marked Man has you attempting to survive the drive to your location and Stunt Run has you earning as many points as you can, but after an hour it does get rather boring. I was also disappointed to learn that most of the trophies are for downloadable content which is a little more expensive than I'd be willing to spend my hard earned pennies on. The online racing and challenges are fun for an additional half an hour but I feel the PS3 has much more potential than this game shows. If you're having a trophy hunt, get this game for the easy 30-40 trophies you can obtain, otherwise steer clear and wait for Gran Turismo 5.
