4Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends doesn't actually have a layout that's similar to the original Dynasty Warriors 7, what with all the characters being unlocked at the start. Nonetheless, it's still a good game.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends
5Even more storylines, more challenges and new maps. Take to the battlefield again with one of the greats from Wu/Wei/Shu/Jin (or Other). You do not need Dynasty Warriors 7 to play this, but it is recommended as you can take your save from Dynasty Warriors 7 to expand the game options even further. The save transfer will also take all your stats over for each warrior you have been playing as. I can easily give this a high rating because I have been a fan of Dynasty Warriors since Dynasty Warriors 2 (One my first ever games to play on the PS2). There is a lot of DLC out for this game but worth it if you are a fan like me because they have remade some old maps and storylines from the old games.

Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends
5I just recently got into the hack & slash genre with Bleach: Soul Resurrección. I liked it a lot. I got Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes and loved it even more. With the PS Vita release I decided to get Dynasty Warriors NEXT and it's freaking aewsome. I then got Dynasty Warriors 7 and 7: Xtreme Legends for the PS3 and they're both awesome. I love the gameplay, the music and the characters: Japanese voices are also a great plus. The game modes are also great. The Story Mode and Conquest Mode from 7 are excellent and big. I like the Conquest Mode a lot: it's really large and can be played with another player on split-screen or online. Legend Mode from 7: Xtreme Legends is really great! We can experience original stories for the new and returning characters in Hero Scenario or raise our own castle town and choose its own officer in Legend Scenario. Really awesome game even if you are new to the hack and slash genre, like me. I recommend it and I can't wait for Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires!

Excellent expansion
5Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme legends is an excellent edition to the DW series. Adding numerous new modes differing from the previous game, means even those who have played through the recently released Dynasty Warriors 7 will find new content to enjoy. New to this entry in the series are 3 new Wei officers Pang De, Wang Yi and Guo Jia, along with a number of new weapon types to collect, dual tridents being my personal favourite. The Legend mode is what makes the game for me, the stages feel far more open to players than they did in DW7s campaign but also feel more fleshed out compared to those in DW7s conquest mode. Add to that a plethora of secret weapons to discover and Legend mode alone makes this game worth the money. Add onto this the challenge modes from the previous games returning for a nice challenge for players of all skill levels. I've got a lot more than I was expecting out of Xtreme Legends and it was a pleasant surprise how different the modes are from 7. I highly reccomend this to fans of the series and new-comers alike.
