Not what I expected
3Hyperdimension Neptunia is a bit on the slow side and it isn't as polished as I would like. Maybe if you like Japanese visual novels this will be a bit more tolerable.

One of NIS's many hits
4Hyperdimension Neptunia is a great game that really delivers what fans of Disgaea and the Prinny series of games expect: pun filled conversations breaking the 4th wall and interesting battle sequences that leave you on the edge of your seat. Having a choice between English and Japanese voices is a great addition as well. I recommend it!

5I have been wanting Hyperdimension Neptunia for ages and I saw it on here so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did! It's so humorous with lots of injokes about things that only a true gamer would get!

5Hyperdimension Neptunia is a fantastic game with original plot and excellent game play elements. The art style is beautiful and the game contains many references to various systems, hardware and games.

Hyperdimension Neptunia
5If you're a fan of cute style anime with a lot of subtle jokes on perverseness then Hyperdimension Neptunia is for you. The good thing about this game the concept - it's basically an anthropomorphic version of our real life console war. Each of our real world console are drawn as cute anime girls with very fitting personality. The funny scenes are also done quite well and there's also a few scenes which are best played with no one else in the room. One unique feature of this game is that it allows you to edit the look of your special moves. We are able to upload pictures from the PS3 HDD to be used as special attack animations, which is a very welcoming addition to a customisable RPG. Japanese voice acting can also be enabled. The bad sides - this game has some pretty mediocre gameplay and battle mechanics. They are somewhat simple yet convoluted. It does takes time getting used to. The characters also move around with no sense of weight, which is a slight bother for me as they seem to be somewhat drifting or floating around the map/area. also the camera view is also placed to close to the character which makes it hard to navigate through an all seemingly similar looking dungeons. Apart from all its shortcomings, I did enjoy playing this game. I have yet to try the sequel, but it has improved on the battle system which is worth a purchase in my opinion.
