inFamous was a great game, It had nice gameplay, a great story and a lot of fun. inFamous 2 is even better! In every domain it has improved. Cole is now more characteristic and his powers are just amazing. There is really no way to describe it, just grab a copy and see for yourself!

Better than the first?

Ever since playing the demo, I was a little worried about this game. I put these feelings aside and went to play and platinum this game. inFamous 1 was a shot in the dark for darling Sucker Punch. It laid a very solid foundation for a franchise and pretty much nailed the magic ingredient for a classic game. I feel very bipolar about this game. Put simply, the game is very good and competant, however does not quite reach the scope, interest, fluidity or fun-factor of the first game and it is very easy to point out the negatives before the positives. For example: inFamous 2 is noticeably buggier for me - random deaths, getting stuck in the environment, very occassional crashes. The story is ever so undercooked - it's a great premise that just doesn't really go anywhere. Powers seem unevenly distributed this time around and while I welcome new powers and advocate the new 'hot swap' system, it is flawed. It means that many people will use a power once then never again. There is a pool of very different abilities assigned to R2 - having to hotswap everytime you want to use something radically different just isn't great. It breaks the flow. It feels like there is LESS choice. You generally don't ever feel that powerful either against your foes and really guzzle through your electricity bar. I would go on but there really are positives too - The more cinematic approach to storytelling is welcome. Voice acting is very good - especially Kuo. The soundtrack is unique and effective. The handful of standout points are extremely memorable and have a definite 'wow' factor. Some of the new powers are very cool. The ability to make and play user generated content is an extremely good move. These are fun to design and partake in. They load quickly and are a nice way to distract from the game or just play after you've polished up the game. They cover many different game styles - from standard mission setups to puzzle games, shoot-em-ups, races and even just little stories!! Personally, I feel it is a bit of a mis-step. A few more weeks in the melting pot could have addressed a few questionable design choices and some extra time to polish it all up could have benefitted considerably. I see it as being rushed a little for summer release, maybe? On the other hand, it is still a great AAA title and you should not let a few potholes disuade from considering this title. It is a very fun romp, just hold your breath if you're expecting it to blow the first game out of the water.

The 1st Game scored 9/10 and this game is much better one of Sony's little gems. This game will appeal to all age groups, and maybe more to the comic book fans. Great game overall decent storyline you wont regret the buy.

inFamous strikes again

After an excellent debut back in 2009, developer Sucker Punch returns to the stage with Cole McGrath, a bike courier who gains electrical powers from a mysterious package. inFamous 2 leaves Empire City and takes place in New Marais, a city inspired by south-western America, more specifically New Orleans. The art design is once again absolutely perfect. The grey colour palette from the first game has been swapped with a more saturated and colour-filled palette. The results are astounding. New Marais looks better and more lively than Empire City ever was. The game play has also been improved. The free-running, electrically charged combat and exploration from the first game returns, along with some improvements, such as revised hand-to-hand combat and a more efficient power upgrade system. With an engaging story, great game play and a true next generation look, inFamous 2 is simply a must-buy for every PS3 owner, and might just be the reason for others to purchase the system.

Infamous 2 is an epic fighter which combines close quarters combat & long range shooters. In infamous you can choose between good & evil. You have a choice you can destroy empire city & it's people or you can help them. Infamous 2 has got a lot to live up to. With new features such as using a metal pole as weapon and new long ranged attacks it will be the game everyone will be talking about for along time to come.Never the less no game is perfect the main flaw with the free roam games are when you've finished the story there is nothing left to do except free roam & kill, kill & kill.Over all this game has a great story line,a new city to"play in." The main feature of this game is the fighting system.I would recommend this game to anyone.Remember being the hero is optional.
