Let Anarchy Reign!

4

Anarchy Reigns is an old school brawler that has it all. The graphics, whilst not bleeding edge, are suitably arcade style. A 3D scrolling beat-em-up is at its core. You can pick up and use weapons/items within the large and detailed arenas, unlocking new missions as you go. A substantial, dual story, single player mode is the perfect complement to the action, which is very much structured around a multi-player design. Included in this limited edition alongside the intriguing array of suitably zany characters is the feisty witch Bayonetta, which is a nice bonus. It's an excellent game.

Amazing, Platinum Games does it again

5

Anarchy Reigns (Limited Edition) is another amazing game by Platinum Games. If you want a challenge then you'll love this game, as hard mode truly does push your skills to the limit. Whilst the main draw is multi-player, there is also a lot of single player content, and playing on hard mode should last you a decent amount of time. I suggest picking it up, not only because it's a great game and is done by some amazing developers, but also because it shows support to Platinum Games and also shows to SEGA and other game companies that some of these Japanese titles do have a demand over here.

A great 2013 starter

4

If you like Dynasty Warriors and Streets of Rage then Anarchy Reigns is definitely up your street. It's quite a fun game and the controls are quite easy to get used to, though there are some times when I wish there was more to the move set. It's not quite 'game of the year' material, but a definite contender for best fighter of 2013.
