RPG

Dragons dogma is somewhat a gloomy rpg, it is to dark and gloomy, dark in the sense of lightning and not in the gritty or violent way. It's a game you don't really play in one session, rather over a length, since the max lvl is 200. The game is overall fun if you like RPG, the boring part is that you are only allowed to create one pawn on each character, the story so far is pretty standard, chosen one in someway.

Extend the pleasure!

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is dynamic and intuitive. This game has a long life, increases difficulty, has a wide environment and system counters. There's also a wide choice of customising the avatar.

Possibly the best game I have ever played. There is so much content within this game and the character creation is astounding. The texture visuals are beautiful and it makes exploring the map an incredibly fun experience. The battle combat is probably the best in any action rpg, certainly the ones I've played. Story wise, I'd say it's pretty good. Wasn't too long, but wasn't too short. The side quests do add to the experience and a lot of them can actually change the outcome of the main storyline, such as love interests, etc. I'm on my second playthrough and I'm having just as much fun as I did on my first playthrough. It's a challenging game. Not challenging on the Dark Souls spectrum, but it can come close sometimes, if you're not well equipped and levelled. But through all of that, it's rewarding and you feel a massive sense of accomplishment after defeating your first Chimera or Dragon or Ogre etc etc. It's a fantastic game, one that'll keep you coming back to it for many ages to come. Must Buy!

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen

A fantastic RPG with a picturesque coastal setting, an impressively detailed character creation system, great combat and some HUGE monsters that will put the fear of God into you! With Dark Arisen you are getting the whole of the original Dragon's Dogma (with some tweaks and improvements) as well as a whole new region to explore, all at an incredible price. I can't recommend it enough - just be aware that it will seem difficult when you first start, but will become easier (and a lot more fluent) when you begin to level up and learn new skills. Stick with it and you will enjoy a game that deserves to be rated far more highly than most reviews have suggested.

Fun RPG for a great price

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a fun 'classic' kind of RPG, with a great combat system and some fun monsters to fight (especially the huge ones!) in an open world. Loot, crafting equipment, upgrading equipment, combining items to make potions, leveling up etc. - it's all here. The story is average, but I don't play it for that, I play it for the fun combat. There's a few too many "kill X amount of monsters" quests though. Also, more dangerous monsters come out at night, making you fear the dark. There is a fair amount of customisation options for your character. The pawn system is an interesting take on the party systems of old. You only get to create two characters at the beginning: Yourself and one pawn (a pawn being a minion of sorts). This pawn will follow you throughout the game and level up just as you do, and you get to choose what equipment and skills they get. You can also hire two other pawns which can be found on servers online, made by other players. The interesting thing is as your own pawn gets hired out to other players, they will learn information to take back with them to your own game. It's a fun and helpful system, since there are many hidden dungeons and caves I would never have found had my pawn not told me. That said they can still sometimes get confused in fights and repeat dialogue, which can sometimes get irritating, but not enough to ruin the game for me. One last warning: The game does not scale experience levels between yourself and enemies (as most games do to keep things fair), meaning if you end up wandering into an area too high a level for your party, you will get destroyed. Because of this, it is recommended to be at at least level 50 before attempting the "dark arisen" expansion. This expansion is different to the main game. It is still open-world, but much tighter quarters since it is set in a huge dungeon. Also, it's very dark and hard to see.
