CAUTION

Picked up this game a few days ago not really knowing what to expect as I haven't really played a game like this.... first 5 hours was a utter nightmare literally more deaths than progress but I stuck at it and surprise surprise I started to enjoy playing bloodborne never have I felt punished as much as I have on this game before but I can't keep away something pulls me back and whispers "keep playing don't stop" IT'S ADDICTIVE but..... it's a big but, I wouldn't recommend this game to casual gamers fact is it can take a while to progress and yes you will want to hurl your controller at the tv but if you want a challenging game that loves to punish you for your mistakes than be my guest but you've been warned ;)

Excellent

Amazing game, not as hard as the reviews say but rewarding nonetheless. Recommended.

It's in the blood.

You probably understand the pedigree of this game so I don't need to go into details; its like the other 'Souls games but better. A pretty and frightening challenge that plunges you into a fantasy vision of Victorian London viewed through a Lovecraftian lens. Buy it, the praise for this game is deserved.

Bloodborne

Never played any of the games in the series before Bloodborne but this is a really good game. Awesome graphics and really nice detailed enemies and especially the bosses. The game is quite hard and unforgiving but persevere and you can push through. Would I recommend this game? For sure

A thrilling and adrenaline-fuelled triumph

Bloodborne comes from the director and internal "A Team" of From Software - the guys behind Dark Souls and Demon Souls. With that in mind, expectations are rightfully high. Luckily, From haven't disappointed with this new IP. Bloodborne is a superb action-RPG that plunges you into the dark depths of Yharnam without holding your hand or forcing tutorials at you. This is a game where you need to experiment and work things out for yourself. There's no objective marker, nor is there even an objectives tracker. You just have to remember where to go and what to do. This lack of hand-holding is what makes From Software's games so exciting and refreshing in this generation. The combat of Bloodborne feels much more streamlined compared to Dark Souls. You are encouraged to be more aggressive and proactive in your attacks, whereas in Souls you would usually hide behind your shield and wait for a parry/riposte opportunity. Attacking any enemy after getting hit replenishes your health, but there is a limited window to do this after you receive damage. This encourages the earlier point about being more aggressive and taking more risks when attacking enemies. It's things like this that really make your heart race when in an intense fight against tough enemies. And the enemies are certainly tough. Relentless and brutal, their sole objective is to make sure you don't survive. The bosses are also quite inventive and unique in their own regard. Luckily, if you find a boss too hard, you can spend 'Insight' to summon a co-operator to enter your game world. But be wary, as doing this also opens you up to hostile invasions from rogue players. Prepare to die. A lot.
