The first Metal Gear Solid game in the series’ history to be released simultaneously on three platforms, Metal Gear Solid: Rising stars Raiden – one of the most popular characters within the MGS universe. Raiden made his debut as a playable character in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for PlayStation 2, and appeared as a non-playable cyborg in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PlayStation 3.
Metal Gear Rising: Reveangeance will include a code for the Cyborg Ninja DLC. The Cyborg Ninja DLC skin allows you to play as Grey Fox, from the original Metal Gear Solid title, complete with his Fox Blade, which will be upgradable within the game.

The all-time classic Tactical Espionage Action universe turns into a Hack'n'Slash Lightning Bolt Action game! At first some players/fans may be dissapointed, but as you'll get used to it and proceed through the game things turn out to be even more interesting! Unlike the classic Stealth tactics used in earlier MGS Series, you're using Raiden from MGS2 but this time as a fast and agile Cyborg Ninja fighting off the toughest enemies with just your blade! As you progress you'll also recieve various weapons throughout the field to get and extra edge in battle! It's not the best but it's also not a bad MGS game, it's just not the classic Stealth taste everyone got used to! It's still a good choice to have in your collection!!
My favourite hack and slash. Perfect delivery time =D
This could have been better if they had done more testing / feedback sessions and ironed out a few frustrating aspects, namely the way the game will reset the view so it ends up pointing you in completely the wrong direction and you have to guess where you enemy might be. There could have been a better way to block as there do seem to be spare, unused buttons during combat. Also, trying to get out of grabs requires you to swap hands as the stick they want you to waggle at an unnecessarily fast rate is under the left thumb which is never used like this in an other game. Apart from that, the game is fun and fast paced and I love being able to play as Grey Fox from MGS1 though it would've been so cool if they changed the voice and the cut scenes kept you as Grey Fox instead of switching back to Raiden - but that's the problem with pre-rendering I guess. All in all I'd recommend spending a tenner on this, especially if your a MGS fan and want to complete the collection.
As a stand alone game away from the MGS games this isn't bad and will offer some excellent moments. Naturally, it looks incredible and is fairly easy to pick up and play. Make no mistake though, this should not be compared to the MGS games. Treat it more like a younger tear-away brother who refuses to conform but is still part of the family. Overall its a fine game, a little short but it will keep you entertained.
Very good hack'n slash. Good story, graphics and game system. I must add that the translation (this is MULTI-5, if I remember correctly), in spanish is kinf of bad. Better to play with english subs. In the beginning I had my doubts but it is indeed a very entertaining game to play.
Funny, but you'll see that kojima didn't work on it
For a MGS fan this is not a good game. Indeed there's nothing of Solid in it. But, hey, this is PURE ACTION AND ADRENALINE. It'd be wrong, not to blame for the 6 hour~ story, but I wouldn't be honest if I'd say i had not have fun with it: Real Fun. Despite everything remember these good-buy-worth being features: -Something new, zandatsu and blade mod are stuff never seen before; -Hard times on higher difficulties, and more important, satisfaction; And last, but not least: -There's a bit of Kojima in it. I'm happy to bought it. (Psst: Hey it's an awesome price!)
Very good product and very fast delivery. Highly recommended.
Some enjoyment to be held with the use of the sword and some of the fighting, I think my lack of background in these sorts of games means that the spikes in difficulty at times were just frustrating. I know these games have rubbish and meaningless plots (woo - double cross, oh no - shadowy government agencies) but does the main character have to be such a douche? Is it a contractual requirement?
Although this game wasn't entirely followed by Kojima, its story is acceptable and the game itself.... just awesome! You will face different situations and enemies, there are a lot of challanges and unlockables. Although I'm finishing it right now for the 6th time, I still feel the same emotions I felt the first time I played it! if you're a fan of swords, of Metal Gear saga and of great actions games, this is a must buy for you!
It's a very exciting game full of wonderfull battles.
good title, great game and fast delivery!
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Includes Cyborg Ninja DLC) is very fast paced, has responsive controls, and is a very enjoyable game with a lot of replay value However, if you don't normally play games more than once, you may want to reconsider as it is very short and can be beaten in a single night, but other than that, the game play is top notch.
Really happy with this game, and really fast delivery. Games still costs a bit in AUD stores but this was much cheaper. Thanks!
I love Raiden as a character, but in this Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Includes Cyborg Ninja DLC) he literally shines! The game is so much fun, the game play is extremely valid and solid, the controls are precise and rewarding, the story is interesting and you really care about the characters (and Raiden of course). This game, albeit a bit short, is really lots of fun. It's an amazing experience that I think everyone will enjoy!
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Includes Cyborg Ninja DLC) is a good game. It has the Italian language too.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Includes Cyborg Ninja DLC) is a good tie-in for the Metal Gear saga, with an underrated protagonist. Maybe the final result is not as good as original H.Kojima concept, but Platinum Games succeeded in the making of a hybrid action-game with some fine improvements and innovations for game play. If camera control was better and final bosses were a little less repetitive, Metal Gear Rising could have been one of the top games this year.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Includes Cyborg Ninja DLC) is a great game. It's very addictive!
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a great action game. It rewards skill, has a cinematic plot and great action. This is a must buy!
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance came to my country (Israel) super fast in less than two weeks, packed and in great shape. I'm definitely going to buy more games from Zavvi in the future.
