As part of it's effort to expand The Many Faces collection in vinyl format, Music Brokers is happy to announce the release of one of the most popular albums in the series: The Many Faces of Pink Floyd. The double LP release features reworks of many of the most well-known songs from the band led by Roger Waters and David Gilmour, plus an exploration of the work of many non-permanent members of the band, it's roots and rarities you won't find anywhere else, including songs from the much sought after album 'Mr. Compromise' by Keith Noble and Rado Klose that haven't been available on any music format for almost 50 years. The Many Faces of Pink Floyd is an essential album not only for fans of the British group, but also for anyone who wants to know more about the history of one of the most iconic bands of rock history. My first 'Many Faces" LP - it is not a disappointment
I was hesitant to get any of the "Many Faces" albums out there and decided to try out the Pink Floyd one on a whim. All in all I am happy with it and would consider getting another one in a different title. The slipcover artwork is gorgeous, the record sleeves of a high quality, and the records themselves look great - being snow white and very sturdy. The content is not quite what I thought it would be, though I'm not too disappointed in it. The first disc is all Pink Floyd songs covered by various artists. I am especially happy with the songs covered by the professional Pink Floyd tribute bands such as the 'Dark Side of the Moon' and the 'UK Floyd Division.' The second disc consists of bands or performers in any way associated to Pink Floyd such as Clare Torry (from the song 'The Great Gig In The Sky), and the two artists who inspired the name PINK FLOYD. In short, any Pink Floyd fan (even the non-hardcore ones) will enjoy this beautiful set.
