Amazing Looking Steelbook

The Revengers get their due!
5“You guys have a beast?!” A bit chaotic but I love the color scheme and the Hela face on the back is awesome. Keeps with the themes of the others. This movie was a great time and really highlighted Thor/Hemsworth’s comedic chops! Waititi is a great director. It was a must that this film and the others got their MONDO’s … a welcomed start to ‘24! Maybe not my bank account but hey, it’s the love of collecting and Marvel. The MCU is in good hands with Hemsworth, you have to have the God of Thunder!

Ragnarok
3The original iron man was the best mondo, as it took a classic scene and made gorgeous art out of it. These new ones are jam packed with as many characters as possible which worked with the avengers steelbooks as that’s basically the point of the movies but not on something like Thor. How cool would it be to have Thor vs hulk on the cover? And maybe Grandmaster on the back. It’s like they’ve been told to follow a theme from here on out which is…well lazy and unimaginative. Hopefully if they do Spider-Man they’ll be more like the original mondo’s.

5I can’t disagree more with the review at the bottom of this list of reviews, this run of steelbooks from Mondo have been some of the coolest in a while. I started Collecting the initial run of Marvel Mondo steelbooks, in the hope that the designs got better. They did not, until now! It’s nice that as a big fan of Mondo, I can now own art that I wouldn’t be able to afford or missed out on otherwise. This Ragnarok and Ironman 3 are particularly good examples of that. In case Mondo actually see any of these reviews, I do hope they move away from only MCU steels. I also hope they mix it up with regards to using existing art or brand new art. Still hoping for a JC Richard Jurassic Park and Martin Ansin Man of Steel, Steelbook one day 🤞 As to the this particular film, Ragnarok, this is my favorite MCU movie, with its spot on humor, stylistically interesting design and with great action! Can’t wait for payday to roll around so I can order this one!

Floating heads but artsy
3The original Mondo steelbooks were great, iron man 1, cap 1, guardians of the galaxy... then with infinity war, endgame, age of ultron and now this wave (Civil war, iron man 3, thor ragnarok) they've gone the same way as the posters and its really disappointing that something so focused on the artwork looks like it was made in photoshop and then colour graded.
