Stunning film
5Damien Chazelle’s Whiplash arrived like a jolt of pure energy to invigorate cinema. His command of tension, an intelligent screenplay and two outstanding performances make for one of the greatest films in recent memory. A nuanced and perceptive character study, set in a prestigious music conservatory, is transformed into a gruelling psychological thriller by the director’s sublime grasp of his craft. Whiplash is a fiercely gripping drama that also explores ambition, the price of perfection, pain and selfishness. Refreshingly, it avoids the easy answers of most works that address these themes, ending on an ambiguous note. A masterpiece.

Fantastic!!!
5Great film what can I say!! The performances from JK Simmons especially is a stand out! The 4k picture quality is really good too and nice artwork on the steelbook. Would recommend.

Whiplash
5The delivery came really quick. When I purchased there was no released date so I wasn't sure when it would arrive but it turned up really quick. The Steelbook was in perfect condition and the design is just amazing.

Simple yet Brutal
5Brilliant steelbook to match a brilliant film. Good quality as always from zavvi and the design looks really good either face or side on. Arrived on time and Zavvi red carpet access worked a treat again.

5Amazing movie, the atmos soundtrack is very noticeable in the final scene, great steelbook as well, worth the purchase.

A great movie in poor packaging.
3Whiplash is one of the greatest films ever made, so its a shame that the tone of the story is completely misrepresented on the steelbook as something more violent then it actually is. The film is more like a sports drama then a horror film, so a better artwork would've done wonders here.

3as well as the others reviewers mentioned this movie is great and 5 stars but the steelbook suggest a horror movie. lack of imagination and art sense. definitely this is the wrong person who concepts these artwork for steelbook. so disappointing

Ok steelbook
3This review is just for the steelbook artwork and not the film itself. The film gets 5 stars, one of the best films made, the acting is just superb from all the cast. Steelbook is disappointing, preorders said artwork TBC but it turns out this is the artwork. It’s not bad, but it’s not mind blowing like the film. Money spinner.
