Magic of the original brought to life

I wondered at first what could be brought to the live action version of Cinderella, and while very little has been changed story-wise, Kenneth Branagh has worked some magic and truly brought to life this Disney classic. Each actor or actress fits their roles perfectly. Lily James brings out everything her animated character stood for and Cate Blanchett does a great job of bringing the despicable stepmother to life. The film does a great job of showing the strength of family and the power of kindness and is enjoyable for adults and children alike. As I said, very little has changed with the story but it's the characters and scripting that make this really stand out and it's so much more than I could've imagined a re-envisioning could be. The steelbook itself is beautiful. The simplicity and boldness of the design is reflective of the film itself with the iconic glass slipper on the front against the royal blue back. It really pops and is instanly recognisable, stands out in the collection. On the back is A stunning image of Cinderella in her blue dress which has a very nice shine to it. The only downside is the lack of a title on the spine, but apart from that the steelbook is perfect and very fitting with the film. A worthy addition to any collectors or Disney fans collection!
