Something a little different.......
4I picked this up due to the hype around it and I was not dissapointed. I think it's based on a book written by someone who went through similar events, hence the 80s style lighting and looks. It's very slickly presented but the power is in the story, where the characters pull no punches. No Hollywood Supermen, no over sympathetic people, no silliness. Just real people caught in things that they have to face up to, along with some brilliant action.

3A bit slow to start with. Car chases etc. Fairly ordinary - not what you would expect from a stunt driver.

Film of 2011
5Drive is a smashing all round film. Beautiful photography/cinematography, a top class soundtrack as well as muscle clenching realistic action scenes. And a brilliant good guy bad buy story line. This film has it all. It's a must see.

Drive (Bluray)
5A modern classic. Performances from all cast are exceptional but Gosling is stunning as "The Driver". I'm amazed it didn't receive more recognition in the Oscar nominations.

Unmissable. Unmistakeable
5Incredible film with Gosling showing why he is one of film's hottest properties right now. His portrayal as a sensitive individual with a mean dark side is perfectly played. His awkward charm is juxtaposed by his visceral temper. Awesome! Carey Mulligan brings a delicate awkwardness to her role which dovetails well with Gosling's quasi-pyscho nature. Although she is mainly in the background, her character is integral to the emotional development of Gosling's character. This is up there with Pulp Fiction and Natural Born Killers in terms of cult classics. Unforgettable film which will stick in my memory for a long time. Beautifully realised on blu-ray with great cinematography.

Amazing!!!!
5This film blew my mind. I read so may people say it was slow and nothing special, but, nonsense, it is quite frankly one of the greatest films ever made, with, by far, THE greatest soundtrack of the last 10 years! Buy this..... NOW!!!!
