Over the Top, in a good way.

When it comes to sequels, they are usually weaker than the original and Fast and the Furious was following the trend until F&F5. Now with Furious 7, they had gone bigger, louder and more over the top with the action set pieces. On top of all that is happening in the movie we have the sad passing of Paul Walker. Losing him delayed the film until they figured out how to complete it. How they got around this was to hire his brothers as body doubles and use CGI to superimpose his face. This works very well, there are few noticeable moments, but this doesn't really matter. About the film, there are some superb action pieces and great fight scenes involving Jason Statham versus Dwayne Johnson and versus Vin Diesel. Also MMA star Rhonda Rousey has some memorable scenes versus Michelle Rodriguez. Other stars include martial arts star Tony Jaa and Kurt Russell and the rest of the F&F gang also return. This film won't win any Oscars, but its a well crafted, high octane movie that is fast paced from star to finish. And without spoiling the ending, there is an emotion farewell to Paul Walker. Highly Recommended.
