Classic Movie
5Well what can you say about the movie and soundtrack which im sure most (certainly. of my age) but they are both classics, the picture and sound are revelations, the steelbook itself vibrant colours lending itself to the movie and the biggest selling point to me and lacking in so many steelbooks I own is an abundance of extras which were all fascinating for movie buffs

5And absolute cult classic.. Great special effects for its time with a great soundtrack from the equally great Freddie Mercury and Queen. All brought up to date on bluray.

Did you like the 1960s ‘Batman’ serial?
4If you believe Adam West was the best ‘Batman’ ever, you are going to adore this version of ‘Flash Gordon’ — an ode to camp if ever there was one. Sam J. Jones and Melody Anderson are a tad on the wooden side but Max von Sydow (Ming the Merciless), Topol (Dr. Zarkov), Brian Blessed (Vultan), and a host of other fine actors more than make up for them. Add a score by the rock band Queen, and you have all the makings of a fine comic-strip-based movie. And, finally, the new 4K UHD version presents fans the film as it was meant to be seen — with a truly dazzling array of colours that pop off the screen. Enthusiastically recommended!

Excellent Steelbook
5Excellent art inside and out. No embossing or debossing, just great 2D artwork. Zavvi mailed it out quick and it arrived well packed. Recommended!

Gordon is Alive.
5Great SteelBook would recommend beautifully design as always, not a bad 4K transfer considering the age of the movie has some fantastic features to watch the commentary is worth listening to its a laugh to watch as always, a great addition to anyone who collects SteelBooks such as me.

Flash....aaaaaaaah!!
5Bought this for my husbands Christmas present (an afterthought really but hey - he didn't know that) He loved it! Has taken pride of place on the shelf - yet to be opened, but is looking forward to the disc with all the extras on it!

4 out of 5 for a great package of extras and restoration but
4I have always loved this film I have bought it three times over the years in different versions but the steelbook version is the best of the lot the restoration of the film is really well done and the extras package is really good. I would have loved to have seen at least one black and white episode from the Buster Crabbe film series of the 1940s that has been included on one of the DVD releases of the film ,as a Queen fan it would have been nice as well to include the Bands video for Flash's theme from 1980. I am fan of the early 80s cartoon made by Filaminton but did the content producers really have to include 2 of the worst examples of the cartoon from the shows 2nd season I would have much preferred it if they included some episodes from the shows far superior 1st season or included the feature length Flash Gordon's Greatest adventure of them all . I would have given the release 5 out of 5 because its really good package the reason for the missing star is that there is a fault on one of the disks I can't get either of the photo galleries to work I have tried on 2 different Bluray players and it didn't work on ethier so Buyer beware Ben Brown
