5Who doesn't like this movie, & to have it on Blu-Ray & on Steelbook is fantastic, the Steelbook looks amazing & the embossing makes it look even better. I would recommend it to anyone.

3Decent Steelbook for a classic film. I like the way the original poster/artwork was used. The Steelbook itself feels a little on the cheap side. A superior glossy paint finish would have been much better. But I picked this up for under €10 so I really can't complain. Great deal ;)

Gremlins Steelbook
5I don't collect steelbooks or look out for them when a new one gets released so I can't really be classed as a fan because others than PS3 games, this is my first steelbook. So with that in mind, I have to say that I actually really like it. It has a lovely metallic print on the front and back which gives it a classier feel than a typical Blu-Ray blue plastic affair. The word 'Gremlins' is embossed on the front and a picture of Billy holding a box with Gizmo peeping out. Inside is fairly sparse with a lovely picture of Gizmo casting a shadow of Stripe on a plain white background - the same image is repeated on the disc. As far as the film itself is concerned, the Blu-Ray brings a nice vibrant full screen image to life with an instantly recognisable 80's feel and the sound is sharp and clean. For me, the sound of a film is the best reason to own a Blu-Ray and this one is no exception. I'm glad I bought it.

They don't make 'em like that anymore!
4No need to say too much about Gremlins because we all know what a delightful film it is, back when Amblin Entertainment were knocking out imaginative, exuberant classics that studios seem too afraid to make these days. It's a nasty, wickedly funny film, yet still smothered in Christmas magic and that's what makes it so unique. It looks and sounds terrific on blu-ray, but don't expect miracles because it is an 80s production with soft cinematography and a slightly grainy picture. The steelbook packaging is very smart and it's a relief to see they've used original design elements rather than new logos which you might find on other Zavvi exclusives. However, the stylish original movie poster (which shows Billy's hands holding a box with Gizmo's paws sticking out) has been relegated to the back cover when really it should be on the front. Other than that, this is easily the best way to own Gremlins if you love the film.
