An Olympian Feat from Mr Fuqua!
5A film that is a great piece of escapism and is one of the best action films released in a while. A great cast supports Gerard Butler, who definitely shows star quality; I think this role is his best since '300'. A very big budget film as can be expected when the brilliant Antoine Fuqua is in the director's chair; his work here, in my opinion, is equal to his direction of 'Shooter'. Preferring a steelbook, it was well worth the wait; as the artwork is great. All in all, a film with which you won't be disappointed!

Good No Nonsence Action
4Olympus Has Fallen is one of two White House / President attack films this year. The premise is Gerard Butler was once part of the Presidents Secret Service, after an accident involving the President he is removed, then when the White House is attacked he become the only person who can save the day. The film itself is just no nonsense fun, plenty of action, fight, explosions and one-liners and a patriotic ending. The steelbook itself is nicely designed en-capturing the essence of the film, both together is well worth the money.

"Die Hard" in the white house!!
5Having the words "Die Hard" in the white house written on the box is about as much explanation as Olympus Has Fallen needs. It is pretty graphic and gritty and well acted, the pacing is fast right from the beginning and up until the end. It is not ever going to win any awards but it's enjoyable, this is pretty much a generic action type movie, but a very good one! It's worth a watch.

a good protege to the die hard series
5'Die hard in the white house', that sentence has been thrown around a lot with regards to this film and I must say I agree. I have been stuck in a rut with films when most of the hard hitting action films just aren't that hard hitting, this ticked every box for me. This has epic scenes with a likeable character and a lot of shooting that would entertain any male from the ages of 12 all the way up to 80. It is old school at its finest and should be seen without any reluctance.

finally a decent action flick !!!
5I watched Olympus Has Fallen at the cinema and knew I wanted it as soon as it came out. Gerard butler is great, the film has good tension and action that rivals Die Hard or Con Air for thrills. I would recommend it to any action fan who misses a decent story and great action, enjoy.
