5Taxi Driver - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook (Includes UltraViolet Copy) is one of cinemas greatest pictures, that in my opinion, for those who have not seen this film should check out. Travis Bickle is a guy just like us and goes through the same emotions and things we go through on a day to day basis, trying to find where we all fit into the world, although Travis himself isn't quite alright in the head. The film follows his days as a Taxi Driver and we see things from his perspective and what he goes through while he's on or off the job. I don't want to spoil too much because I think the film should be seen to be experienced. The music by Bernard Herrman is fantastically well done and will follow you long after the movie is over, especially the main theme of the movie. Now on to the review of the Blu-ray, this indeed is one of the best Blu-rays out there and should be in everyone's Blu-ray collection as the film looks absolutely beautiful. The work the studio did on transferring the film to Blu-ray and cleaning up everything is absolutely stunning and once you play the movie on your Hi-Def setup you'll see what I mean.

Scorsese at his best
5Taxi Driver - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook (Includes UltraViolet Copy) is a beautiful steelbook, with a superb 4k digital restoration and remaster under cinematographers Michael Chapman and Martin Scorsese. Taxi Driver looks great and is up there with the best classic movie Blu-ray releases. It still looks like a film from 1976, but it looks like it was released yesterday. That's not to say it looks super shiny or anything, there is a layer of filmic grain throughout the movie, but this is fine as it's where your detail comes from and also adds to the edgy feel of the movie. Blacks weren't always as solid as I'd have liked but minor trifles are outweighed by the detail and overall clarity on offer. As for extras, this 35th Anniversary release seems to have everything. Most of these we have seen before on the various DVD releases, but it's nice to have them all in one place, and to be honest it's tough to think of anything else they could have added. There are three commentary tracks including the 1986 original recorded by Criterion. Scorsese's thoughts on Taxi Driver, producing and making of Taxi Driver, storyboards, comparisons from the New York of 1975 to today, the influence and appreciation of Taxi Driver, God's lonely man: an in depth look at Travis Bickle, Taxi Driver stories (not tales from the film unfortunately but rather real life New York cabbies from the 70's) and the Blu-ray exclusive is an interactive script to screen. In short then, if you like Taxi Driver this is the version to get.

535 years after its release, Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook (Includes UltraViolet Copy) is still one of the greatest and most shocking films. Featuring a bravura performance from Robert DeNiro, this American classic is a can't miss film. In my opinion, Taxi Driver is the greatest film of all time. The steelbook released by Zavvi is gorgeous, it looks a million times better in person than the picture does. It's one of the best looking steelbook releases of 2013.

5Taxi Driver - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook (Includes UltraViolet Copy) is an amazing steelbook. I have being collecting steelbook movies since 2010, and I have to say this is one of the best steelbook releases this year (2013).

I got some bad ideas in my head.
5What's not to like!? The Taxi Driver - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook is a 4k transfer, it's limited to 4000 copies, it's Robert de Niro as Travis Bickle and is a wicked looking steelbook.

5Taxi Driver is easily one of the nicest looking steelbooks to be released in a long time. It's well worth your hard earned money. As for the disc and transfer, I have no idea, it's hard to tell with it sealed.

A stunning looking steelbook! Which no collection would be complete without. With a great collection of extra material & a stunning new transfer. Was delivered in super quick time & in perfect condition, would thoroughly recommend.
