2Very poor showing for this release. It has lazy written all over it. It's clear no effort was put into this steelbook. The pressing isn't much better either so unless we get a proper remastered edition and not the DNR version we have here I wouldn't bother. Stick to your DVD or laserdisc.

Very disappointed.
1How to waste a fantastic opportunity with one of the biggest franchises in cinema, in one easy lesson, by Zavvi. I'm not sure how these steelbook things work, in relation to who commissions them, who designs the artwork, how much input Zavvi has on it all etc. But what I do want to know is; why on earth Zavvi allowed this to be produced. I won't bother reviewing the film as everyone knows how great it is. I'll stick to the steelbook and hopefully give a decent insight as to how tragically awful it is. Firstly, with Zavvi planning a steelbook for all Terminator films including Genisys, you'd think they'd have the foresight to employ a bit of consistency in the design, so they'd look like a suite - similar to the Indianna Jones and Alien collections, and sit nicely together in a display. But no. So they missed the boat there. This Terminator 2 steelbook has absolutely nothing in common in way of look and feel or design consistency as the original Terminator steelbook released by Zavvi. On the front, we have a ghastly illustration of a T-800 head, which is slightly embossed with a metallic finish. It is truly awful and instantly ruins the look of the thing. I mean no offence to GCSE art students, but that is the standard and quality of artwork. Certainly not worth of a collector's piece such as a steelbook. Why could they not have just used the artwork originally used for the film, such as the blue-hued Arnie sat on the motorbike with sunglasses and gun, or the artwork from the DVD Ultimate Edition? Even the relatively poor artwork from the Skynet Edition Blu-ray is better than this. There were plenty of options - All better than what they've chosen to do. The 'Terminator 2' font on the front isn't correct either. it's too condensed horizontally. The only saving grace from the front is the Z-card, which looks nice and official, isn't a solid blank colour like the Pixar steelbooks, and indeed covers part of the horrific Endoskeleton 'drawing'... which is a good thing ;) Next, Collectors tend to store DVDs, Blu-rays, steelbooks either upright or flat, like books, with spines showing to the front. So why have Zavvi or the creators of this release left the spine blank? No title, no indication of what this is. No design at all, not even any background design. It's just solid black. So it looks absolutely terrible when sat in anyone's collection. Why oh why could it not have matched the spine of Zavvi's The Terminator, obviously just with a different title? It's such a massive oversight, sloppy and half hearted attempt. I haven't even opened my copy, but I take the word of other reviews that have said there's no inside artwork. If this is true, then the whole release is just a shambles. The disc however, possesses one of the greatest films ever made, and is stocked with extras (not as many as other versions I don't think), and has the special extended edition included, for which you need to insert a code (provided). This alone, is why I've given it 1 star. In conclusion, Zavvi have missed a trick here, and copped out big time on one of the biggest franchises in Hollywood. Not only have they not done these releases as a consistently design suite, so they all look from the same family of films, but this steelbook, and in my opinion the best film in the series, is an absolute mess. A sloppy, half hearted attempt that looks like it was rush out and designed on a Friday afternoon. Very, very disappointed in you Zavvi.

Poor. Very poor...
1As said no inside art but worse is no spinal art. It's nothing special to look at and the disc is the previous skynet edition. For such a great and iconic film this is a travesty. It's the 25th anniversary next year so save your money and let's hope for a special 4k edition next year.

Dreadful
1This is the single worst steelbook Zavvi has produced. The art is average, there is no inside art and no title on the spine! Do not be tempted. It really isn't worth it. A cynical cash-in, a rip off and a let down. The wait for a decent T2 steelbook continues.

No inside artwork !! The Steelbook looks great !
4I can't believe the Steelbook has no inside print ! This is an no go for a new steelbook ! But the front look's great- The paint around the terminator skull is very thick and looks a little bit like embosed. The same at backside with the T2 letters. The blu-ray ist the same like the old release i think and the menu is the same to. The Steelbook looks very great but in this time should studiocanl know that we won't a inside print ! Sorry for my very bad english.
