The Jungle Book

For me this is one of the best movies of the year. Luckily the steelbook doesn't disappoint either. It has some of the nicest artwork I have seen in a while, which is complimented by the mixture of gloss and matte. And once you see the artwork on the back you will be blown away. I think that this is a must have for any Disney fan and the fact that it includes 3D as well is nice added bonus.

Decent film, great steelbook

As a revamp of Disney classic, this is a great effort to make a dramatic, funny and emotive journey. However, it is not without problems, I feel they missed a trick by not including a famous set of characters towards the end and some of the music feels like it has been thrown in as an afterthought. Now for the pluses and there are many, Bill Murray as Baloo and Ben Kingsley as Bagheera as so superb that you nearly forget how good the cartoon versions were. Scarlett Johansen is also brilliant as Kaa but very scary for younger audiences. The pace, cinematography and direction for the most part is amazing(some music issues aside). I feel the cartoon version is one tof the best Disney ever made, so, I was worried this would be awful, I didn't need to be, brilliant film that nearly matches (but not quite) the excitement and fun of the original. Great, great effort overall. Really impressed. As a steelbook this is absolutely stunning, beautifully presented greens and yellows mixed with gloss and matte. Just buy it quickly.

Excellent edition and steelbook

5

Great steelbook edition. The bluray in 3d is great quality, great HD picture and sound. Both versions (2D and 3D) have great DTS-HD audio 7.1 sound in English. And are dubbed also in Spanish (Castillian), French and Portuguese. These last three 5.1 audio.
