In the top tier of Best Documentaries ever
5This remastered dvd version of The World At War must be one of the best documentary boxsets ever. No matter how many times you watch the episodes, it never gets boring. You can never take everything on board in one go and so repeated viewing is a must. Now I can go over them in my own time.

World at War - Brilliant
5The subject matter of The World At War doesn't make for easy viewing but it is essential for anyone wanting or needing a perspective into the historical background. Much of it is heartrending but it is important not to gloss over these sort of issues. It goes without saying that the quality of the narration by Laurence Olivier is superb and probably couldn't have been matched by anyone else let alone bettered.

fantastic documentary!
5I own this one for some time and I don't think I watched a better and more comprehensive WWII documentary. A lot better and more informative then any newer released title. It goes slowly explaining everything chronologically jumping from place to place with a lot of interviews from the people involved and lots of famous quotes. Many recordings and testimonies that make you feel the climate and surroundings of great battles and those hard times. If you're interested in the subject it is worth the time and money. Excellent material!

Original and best
5The remastered version of The World at War is even better than the original version. I bought this for my father and he is loving it. Narrative is superb!

5I must have watched these programs 3 or 4 times now, but this is not just a subtle improvement, but a significant one. Highly recommended including those who have already watched them.

5Really good quality, delivered very soon after ordering it. An interesting and factual documenty, which would be suitible for education or to enjoy at home. good price.

5I first saw this series on TV years ago, this restored edition makes it all seem so real, almost new and the quality is excellent, I have not been able to watch it all as yet but what I have viewed is V Good indeed.

The World At War: Ultimate edition
5I have been wanting to see this for a long time and to be honest I had forgotton about it and then a noticed an advert for zavvi so signed op for the offers etc and am I glad I did. This is amazing and I will be watching it again very soon as I am sure there are things I missed or didnt take in forst time around. What a fantastic look at what we as a race went through and come out the other side. If you are only thinking about getting this then dont think DO it is well worth while. Grab your self a comfy seat and appreciatte what other done to give us our freedom.

5Wonderful restored edition. A great buy for the price. I would recommend this to anyone interested in war documentaries. Can't be beaten.
