Dragonquest 1st time

Hi in new to dragon quest as a game considering this is now at title 9 but I do like my role-playing games, by role-playing I mean you get 1 to 4 characters and explore the land helping people doing quests getting better items and skills hope fully following and unlocking a strong story of a fantasy world! And this is exactly what dragon quest gives! I’ve been playing for roughly 70 hours and think I’m ½ way though every session I’ve played I’ve found made a new items unlocked a quest or defeated a big boss so there is lots to do! Similar games I’ve played on the DS are final fantasy 3 (FFII) and A slight rebalance to Zelda now, Its what others have called a classic Japanese style role play in the battle are turn based and list based, but for a pocket games system this is great, its not quite balder’s games which is the best role-playing experience I’ve played on the PC, but this certain scratches an itch, the world map is 3d and populated by 3d monsters unlike the random battle that used to happen in say FFIII , the game play is mostly running around and starting battles to level up but so far I’ve not found this a chore or a grind as it does not take very long to unlock the next story or mini quest and task, and also there’s a large Varity of monsters at 70 hrs my games tell me I’ve seen 51% of the monsters also its challenging I have died or had to run away from some battles though not that many…. Class wise its your classic fantasy hero’s Warrior Thief Cleric Wizard Bard Then you can unlock advanced forms of the above Ranger – thief with bow and boomerang Gladiator – like a barbarian warrior Paladin – a holy healing warrior in armour Mage Knight – a spell casting debuffing warrior Sage – a mix of cleric and wizard And to create a strong party you probably be switching classes quite a lot to get some skill synergies As well as skills and weapons there a vast amount of clothing and armour which adds a fashion collection aspect to try and complete and also adds some fun comedy moments watching your 3d characters battle in odd combinations. Thought the story is quite strong and some what fairy tale-ish its is quite childish but cute the towns tend to be named after what evers affecting them e.g Coffinwell has a plague! Blooming dales has Plants etc… and the story follows your character a fallen angel trying to get back into heaven to save the world As I say ½ way though right now I hope this review was useful to you

Dragon Quest IX is a awsome game when your angel charecter can customize and do all sorts of cool stuff. You can unlock magical and powerful swords and equipment and magical spells to help you along your way. You can battle all these crazy monsters and have three other charecters that you can make to help you along your way its a brilliant game and I recoment it to anyone with even a small amount of imagination you will love it as much as I do!!!
