About 24 hours in and how immersive is this latest installment in the series?! Highly recommended, as long as you have the time to dedicate to it.

This is by far the best and largest of the series with hundreds of missions and a load more people to interact with. Graphics are top notch and the sound is awesome you could get lost in this world and with a strong storyline will keep you up into the small hours trying to do one more mission before bedtime. The best value for money game in the market right now

Skyrim

Skyrim is an absolutely great game, playing it on hard it gives me some challenge. Bethestda finally fixed the bug we found playing oblivion (like: the same dog which killed you at level 1, was still killing you at level 30). Wonderful landscapes and great details even though the game is free-roaming. I really love the implementation of shouts and the power words.

Skyrim!!

This game is amazing! It is the only game to have satisfied my gaming needs since Mass Effect 2. Skyrim is a complete game that is a MUST HAVE! Definitely a serious contender for game of the year. Well done Bethesda! you have created another masterpiece.

Overall, this is an excellent and well-made game that I would recommend to any fan of RPGs. Skyrim's gameplay is not drastically different from its predecessor Oblivion. This is not necessarily a bad thing, since I enjoyed Oblivion and it was also an excellent game. I only gave it 4 stars because of the console UI, but don't let that put you off, it's one of the best game released this year - if not ever!.

My personal Game of the Year

Exceptional game, very immersive and gripping. One great thing is that there is no reason to just follow the main quest line and only doing side quests when you come across them. Great for gamers who love to explore as exploration is greatly rewarded.

The Skyrim's the limit

This is quite simply a masterpiece. A true love letter to what gaming is about. You are a dragon born, one who has the ability to kill dragons. This is handy because a load of them have shown up causing a mess. Only you can stop them. From this moment, the story is entirely yours. This game is a sequel to 2006's elder scrolls I V : Oblivion, and Bethesda have used all that they learnt from that game as well as 2008's Fallout 3 to craft a far superior sequel. Character creation has been streamlined, you develop a class from your play style as opposed to choosing one at the beginning of the game. Your character can be customised with a perk system that has been borrowed from the fallout series, along with that game's slow motion kills to add more to the visceral combat. It's disappointing then that the game is let down with a truly atrocious user interface which does its best to hinder you in every way, it combines an illogical layout, which ignores interface conventions, with inconsistent button behaviour. It is also a let down that the game doesn't meaningfully stretch your hardware, with blurry textures and clearly non optimised code pointing to a console prioritised game. This is all easy to forgive though. The art direction is magnificent, as you travel the world, your jaw will drop over and over at the stunning vistas that the 16 square miles of this game provides. This is important, because this game is all about the journey, the sense of wondef at what lies beyond the next hill crest. This is why I will not hesitate to give my full recommendation to anyone and everyone. A modern masterpiece.

Skyrim = Oblivion+10

Having played Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion I couldn't wait for Skyrim to arrive. Graphically this game is stunning, the lighting and atmospherics are spot on and when out on the tundra you'll feel the need to turn the heating on. The menu has changed a little from Oblivion, and you don't get quick keys for your weapons or potions etc. Instead you have to mark them as favourites in the menu then during the game press q and scroll through your list. Although the game pauses while in the quick menu it is a bit off putting. The dual wield combat is fantastic, mix an assortment of staves, swords, axes, shields or magic to suit your needs. Have had a couple of ctd's don't know if that was due to Skyrim or Steam but anyone who's played Oblivion or Fallout will be used to this. There are already mods appearing on the net and soon there will be patches which should clear up some little problems. All in all this is an excellent game. Bethesda hasn't changed the gameplay too much to make it annoying (a mistake they made with New Vegas in my opinion).
