Ok game

I had really high hopes for this game, and it kind of disappointing me. It gets very repetitive after a while. I suggest just moving to assassin's creed 2, as the sequel is amazing and much better than this.

An excellent game, one of the best to play 3 after MGS4. has an incredible history in addition to its graphics and gameplay details.

Worth the effort

I bought this game when the sequel - Assassins Creed 2 was launched just to get the feeling of the franchise before i moved on to the second edition - to be honest, the game was well worth to get a go on. All though the game might be a little bit outdated present day, the gameplay is still outstanding, even though the crowd around you feels sometimes a little robotic, it still doesn't lessen the fun in jumping from rooftop to rooftop, climbing walls or battling with numerous of crusaders and templars. The stroy is also very solid and towards the end it is the main thing that keeps you playing the game, since it's quite a long one, especially when you want to complete it 100 %. Another area worth to point out is the graphics. Textures are all well rendered and you really get the feel that you don't have one type of objects to climb on an other ones just for background - it is all mixed together perfectly. The weakest part of the game is its lenght, or actually lack of variety as you have only 6 types of different missions plus the assassinations - that is the area that might get on your nerves and you might start to lose interest. Otherwise its a very solid game and worth purchasing - especially when the price is as friendly as it is here in Zavvi.

A very interesting game

I got Assassins creed on a promotion a while ago. It was sitting on my to-play pile for four months, I just said to myself that I wasn't going to like it. How wrong was I. The first 30 minutes of the game were pure torture, I was left in a world I knew nothing about and I just didn't get the game. I was despairing and acknowledging that I made a horrible buy. Then it all changed... As soon a the game really started I was enthralled by it. A very good story, combined with absolutely great gameplay make this game a winner. This is the story of an Assassin, living in the 3rd crusade, called Altair (that guy in the game box) and another one called Desmond living in the present. And tells their quest to unravel a conspiracy in the past and present. It true that some people say that missions may become a bit tedious, but I played the game for 9 days in a row two hours every day making one assassination per day and it never seem to bore me. This is a sandbox game, so you have 3 cities to play with, Jerusalem. Acre and Damascus, every one of these differs greatly for the others. Everyone has their own architecture and design. Every city is divided into 3 parts, one assassination per part. Every mission has the same structure, clibing view point to discover the map, saving citizens to make the city safe, helping informers, pickpocketing and evesdropping and only then the assassination. This is why some people say it repetitive. In my opinion it was not, I followed that order and the game seemed to me as being very structured and also helped me get into Altair skin. All in all it was a wonderful game for me to play and I recommend this game to everyone looking for a (in my opinion) better inFamous (and infamous was the reason I bought a PS3), if you didn't play this, get it now and their sequels...

In Assassins Creed you play as Altair, the ancient assassin and it has very good story also Assassins Creed is very good free roam game. you can pick, do you want to Free roam around the huge world of Assassins Creed or you can do missions for the storyline. There are few cities you can roam in and do missions in.

Assassin's Creed [Platinum]

Assassins creed is a title you pick up and you are transported into a wonderfully constructed point of time. The story line is very different than any other game and when you visit any of the cities there is beautiful level designs everywhere you look. The game play is solid and the controls are intuitive. The one thing this game suffers from is that some of the assassinations are a little similar which prevents the game getting 5 stars imho. But don't let that distract from buying this game, for the great price it's an absolute bargain. Well done Zavvi for offering great prices on good games.
