Dark Souls Predecessor
5After the great success of Dark Souls, I started looking for Demon's Souls. To the time it came out, it was only available in Japan and so many people from America and Europa started to import this game. So, after approx. 3 years (and after Dark Souls) I bought this game too and I have to say it´s just as brilliant as Dark Souls! The atmosphere is thrilling, the fighting system is unique and very difficult but almost never unfair! Music is used in a very subtle but effective way. The graphics are still up-to-date although the game is from 2009! The open-world system which is connected by a Nexus, so you can warp between different stages and worlds, is a really good idea, I even like this setting more than in its successor Dark Souls! I find the difficulty in Demon´s Souls a bit less hard than in Dark Souls but maybe it is due to the fact that I´m used to this game because one will feel familiar here if you already played the second part, or vice versa. To sum it up, this is one of the best action RPGs on the market! It focuses on gripping battles and a nearly perfect fighting system but the story too, is so well told, you want to see every piece of this world!

Everyone should play
5I waited too long to play Demon's Souls. This game recalls the great RPG such as Dungeons and Dragons, The Lord of the Rings and others. Demon's Souls is an excellent game for those like RPG. For never played the trick is: persistence and patience.

Frustrating, yet fun
4You will play it. You will be frustrated like in no other game. You will like it. It's not a typical hack and slash, where you put on your armor, take a sword and go on killing hoards of enemies. Well, you do all of the above, but you also keep dying. A lot. And you end up starting from the beginning, with all the monsters respawned. But at least in 99% of the situations it is your own fault. Be more cautious and don't be hasty - this is the key. Places where you die, just because your character is not ready for that place are rare. Also to help you in your travel the game offers tips, messages left by other players warning you about dangers and hidden treasures. The story seems interesting, although I haven't played long enough to say more. Overall, the game has an ok story, good design and fresh gameplay. If you don't mind dying and replaying most parts of the levels then give it a try. It's hard, but rewarding.

5I highly recommend Demon's Souls to players looking for a real challenge and the feeling when you finally win is priceless. For this price it is a steal, get it now whilst you can.

Epic game
5This is hard core RPG, be ready to die alot and be ready for great reward when you don't die. Not for everyone but it is masterpiece.
