Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten

It looked like it'd be hard to improve on Disgaea 3, but they've done it again! If you liked any of the previous Disgaea games or you like the tactical RPG genre, you should definitely have this game.

Disgaea 4:A Promise Unforgotten

5

Disgaea 4 plays it safe and sticks with the same winning formula it has used for almost a decade. If more Disgaea sounds like a good time to you, dig in. That also means it will still be too daunting and arduous for many people. This is a game for those who like taking their time and being methodical. If you've got the patience, there are hundreds of hours of brilliant strategy gameplay waiting inside Disgaea 4.

Disgaea 4

I am slightly disappointed as I've found the game a bit of a slog so far. It is tutorial after tutorial for many hours from the start of the game. I have found it a bit more complicated than the first 2 games which I ran through fairly easily recently. Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgiven isn't all that different in many respects, which should be a good thing.

The true current-gen Disgaea

4

This may be the best Disgaea yet, and perhaps the best SRPG available on PS3 so far. The gameplay, which had already been polished to a sheen in the previous instalment, has been enriched with new elements, such as monster fusion and a (sadly limited) map editor. The sprites have finally been upgraded to HD, so that we can now witness Nekomatas and the like in all their un-blurred glory; the soundtrack is one of Tenpei Sato's finest, and will definitely be appreciated by those who had found Disgaea 3's score uninspired, if not outright obnoxious. While this is a great game for all SRPG fans, I should point out that people who've played the previous instalments may feel a little burned out on it. Few new generics have been added, while many were left out; the selection's definitely unsatisfying, and the DLC which adds to it is overpriced (am I really expected to pay 3 for a single generic?). Some plot points, and obviously many things in the gameplay will evoke some feeling of deja vu as well. So, if you invested hundreds of hours on previous Disgaea games, you might find this one a little boring after a while; if you're new to the series, though, this is definitely the best place to start.

The best Disgaea i have played.

5

I am a great fan of the Disgaea series and related games from NIS America, such as Phantom Brave and La Pucelle tactics. Disgaea 4 is the best I have played so far. With the enhanced graphics and the introduction of magichange and monster fusion makes this part of the series a much more fun game to watch and play. The story is great and original. The characters are very funny and there are a lot of prinnies. It doesn't matter if you are new to Disgaea. If you like strategy RPG's this is a great game to play.

Saintly :)

If you've been playing the Disgaea series so far you'll love this! This game improves everything that Disgaea 3 had, boasts online leader boards and has a huge selection of DLC. However this game requires some grinding to get through and is slightly harder than Disgaea 3. Overall wonderful story, hilarious jokes and multiple endings.

Disgaea 4

Disgaea 4 is a fantastic game and is just as silly and as complex as the previous version. A steal for the price, and I just can't put it down.

Disgea 4

Following in the footsteps of the previous Disgaea games, the 4th installment improves and adds new features to already well established franchise. Humor, tons of replay value and a solid story makes this one of the best Disgeas yet! Definitely must buy for any fan.

Amazing Game

5

I love games that let you grind or power up and build up amazing characters and teams but don't force you to if it's not your thing. Disgaea 4 is a really well made game with so much content that I have put in ower 100 hours and there is alot more to do. It's so amazing that at the end of the game you are about level 100 but the game lets you continue to level 9999. The Story is also good and so funny, it's like playing a really good anime. I Really recommend this game.
