Best Dmc yet

I'm a massive fan of the series, having played all four titles so far, and I can honestly say this is the best. The plot is the most engaging and the combat is the most free-flowing. 5/5 easily.

This new rebirth of the DMC: Devil May Cry series is supurb. It's a shame that this game has recieved unfair criticism from other user reviews due to the fact Ninja Theory, the developers, have gone for a new-look Dante. I for one feel as though this new fresh approach of DMC surpasses the previous games in every single way. Story, graphics and gameplay are all flawless. The game has incredible production values, with a fantastic soundtrack and the game is just barrels of fun to play. My first play through clocked in just under 19 hours on medium difficulty, so it isn't a game that doesn't warrant the full price tag. Not only that but when completed, you unlock harder difficulties and characters skins. When trying to decide whether to buy this game or not, try to read through the critic reviews aswell due to their unbiased opinion, I have noticed that the user reviews have been giving the game very unfair ratings, purely based on their dislike of the new Dante, which in my opinion just isn't right. If the game didn't have the Devil May Cry name, it would be achieving 8, 9's and 10's across the board I have no doubt. Lastly all I will say is, DMC is a cracking game to start off the new year, one that I will continue to go back to due to its exhaustive re-playability. Like I said read through a couple of critic reviews of this game, to give you a very open minded opinion.

After owning and playing all the Devil May Cry games, i was a bit skeptical with this one as there were a lot of major changes, the demo also did not really impress me, but as a DMC fan i still purchased this one. All i got to say is WOW. This game is incredible, the level design is some of the most creative stuff i have seen in an action game. The combat is smooth and the story and characters are also good. The DMC franchise is in good hands. Ninja Theory have done a great job. 5 Stars. A very fun game.

Ninja Theory owns DMC

I still remember playing the first Devil May Cry almost ten years ago. It was amazing and since then it has established itself amongst the video game greats. The new Dante in DmC: Devil May Cry will please fans. His arrogance and humour is still there, but less in your face. The characters and their relationships are well developed. The over-the-top fighting and story still exists, but is a lot more subtle and intelligent than previous installments. The environment is twisted and deranged. DMC is stylish beyond belief and I can only hope this is the first of many to come.

Excellent game

I started to follow the DMC (Devil May Cry) series since the DMC 3 special edition and later on I bought 1, 2 and 4. Now they have rebooted the DMC series and Dante has changed a lot. He doesn't have his grey/white hair any more and his wise cracking attitude, red jacket and weapons are remodeled. This made the public backlash against this game. I started playing the game as soon as I opened the package. I followed the tutorial and such which was very easy to follow. The camera is sometimes in the way during battles and you have to manually rotate it using the right stick. Most of the attacks in the previous DMC games are also in this version plus some new ones. For previous players of DMC, the attack controls are pretty easy to do. As soon as new weapons or tricks are learnt - a short tutorial pops up (which can be disabled in the option menu or before you even start. The story so far is pretty good but I'll have to finish the game before I can give my proper opinion about that. This DMC is different to the past games but if you leave this to the side and the slight problem with the camera it will show a good game and it can be enjoyed by newcomers or 'veterans' of the DMC world.
