Review of Final Fantasy XIII-2: Limited Collector's Edition

The game came to me in perfect condition. The game itself however is one of the worst Final Fantasy games I had ever played

Final Fantasy XIII-2: Limited Collector's Edition

If you liked Final Fantasy XIII-2, you're not going to be disappointed with the Collector's Edition! The same battle engine and graphics, with a lot of exploration, bonuses and sidequests. The only thing I didn't like, was the fact that you have to download the plot content. The Limited Edition comes with a beatiful artbook, Official Soundtrack selection and some art cards, one of wich has a nifty 3D effect. It's a must buy for any Final Fantasy fan.

Although it has taken longer than expected for it to reach their destination, I was glad that they were delivered in good condition. The responses to my inquiries were prompt and clear, I thank everyone of you for attending to my needs and questions.

Better game, worse story

Final Fantasy XIII-2 earns its score with aplomb, and I'd go so far to call it a sleeper hit. It's a genuinely great-playing game with an imperfect story, though to its credit, it eventually engages and justifies the wait. Its greatest battle now is escaping from the shadow and stigma of its big brother, but you should ignore the anti-hype, take a leap of faith and give it a chance.

Perfect

I recently purchased the game (together with the official guide) and not only did it come in perfect condition, as someone would certainly expect for a collector's edition, it was in my hands sooner than I thought!! It is my very first review for an item and I only wrote it because I was very happy with my purchase! Zavvi.com staff does a great job and I will always have my eyes on the site for any future purchases!! Keep up the good work people!!

Way better than XIII.

To begin with, I did not expect too much when I ordered this game. I simply wanted to see whether there are some improvements or not. And...Well, they exist, they really do! The whole game isn't as linear as before. There are many ways to explore and lots of things to do. I have to admit, I thought a monster as third party member would be dull, kind of like another Pokémon game. But it's great fun! Taming them, training them, choosing nearly any monster you like is one reason this game's not becoming boring. There's always stuff to do. Until now, there's nothing to complain about...Then there's this idea called 'cinematic action'...Well, how do I put it...? It's just not necessary. On the one hand involving the player is a good idea on the other hand there's no need for a JRPG to be having such a thing. I'd even say it isn't one any more. And, just like XIII before the feeling of playing a Final Fantasy game's gone. At some parts of the game the emotion is suffering, too. Listening to one's whining doesn't automatically cause compassion. Having said this, there's still 2 points to criticize... The 'Limited Collector's Edition' is not really worth its price. A 3D picture, some postcards and a soundtrack consisting of 6 tracks do not value the price, even though zavvi's having a greatly low one. The 'art book' seems to be the reason making this edition a 'Collector's Edition'...But I do not think so. That was my personal opinion. Coming to an end, this game's end is...Well...I leave this one to you. To sum this up, I really liked playing through the game and if you enjoyed XIII, you'll love XIII-2. It's a solid and well made piece. Some things did simply not suffice making it a 5 Stars review for this edition.

Best game ever

This is one if not the best RPG game I've played since Final Fantasy IX, the story is very deep, the gameplay is amazing and the pet system is just too much fun. Definitely something you'd want to play and tell your friends about it.

A-must-have

If you like FF games, you have to get this game! The artbook is a little bit of a let down, because it's not hardcover like other artbooks. But still this is a must have!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Limited Collector's Edition

Improving vastly upon the previous entry in the series, Final Fantasy XIII-2 gives out good results from Square Enix, who have been quite controversial considering this is their flagship game series. But if this title is anything to go by, then I'd say the future isn't looking so bleak after all. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a solid title with plenty of content such as side quests and a casino. Also, with the announcement of downloadable content support, you can experience extra Colosseum battles and pimp out your characters with costumes. Regardless of whether you liked Final Fantasy XIII or not, you should definitely pick up this title. I really recommend it.
