RE6 Review

4

This new RE game has evolved in terms of game play, in comparison to its predecessors RE5 and 4. But it still doesn't quite get to be the game it was supposed to, the one that would bring back RE to the gold era as it used to be. But lets get started with visuals, it looks great, the character´s movements are fluid and smooth on the campaing, but when you go to the mercenaries, it is pretty different, it has low quality graphics, you´ll see the difference in the characters, they are not so defined as they are in the campaing. The scenaries are well designed and look great and the cinematics are at the same level. Now, the game play, the movements are great, the addition for moving and shooting works great, as mentioned above, the animations are really smooth and you can change the point of view from right to left smoothly to improve your view. The zombie´s movements are great and look amazing in some cases, even though I´ve found some bugs about their attacks, like when they jump at you, even though you know they will not get you due to the distance, for some reason, you´ll get the animation to fight the zombie to get it off you, this is something that may be sometimes frustrating, mostly when you´re trying to scape, but overall it is great. Regarding the four campaings, the stories they told for each couple of characters in case of the first 3 campains, are well told, and how they cross over each other is perfectly done, it gives you an idea on what the other characters are up to at that point, until you get to play the next campaining and see the scene from the other side, which is nice. For Ada´s campaing, which until December will be locked until you beat the first 3 campaings, I´ve found it the best of them, her play style is great, her movements are awesome and her story will give you the answers missing from the previous ones and more. So, to recap, RE6 is visually good, could have been better, the game play was tweaked and got a little better and for the stories, some are told better than others, but overall are great once you get to the end. I highly recommend this game to any RE fan, it is also really fun to play coop with a friend.

Brilliant

Now you may be hoping that this will be a return to the classic RE of old, creeping down corridors with about four bullets. Well that's not the case. You will frequently run out of ammo but make no mistake, this is new Resident Evil. This game is made to entertain and it succeeds brilliantly. Leon's campaign is obviously the best giving you a very creepy atmosphere and awesome graphics. This comes highly recommended from me, a die hard Resident Evil fan from the beginning, as this game is thoroughly entertaining and will keep you hooked through all four campaigns.

Great

Resident Evil 6 is a great entry into the series of Resident Evil. Way above my expectations. Although the gameplay is somewhat similar to Resident Evil 5 it's a lot more advanced and intense. Although it's not scary and has gone away from the roots of RE too much, I recommend this game as it is it truly brilliant. The gameplay and storyline are great. There are 3 story lines, with a 4th unlocked after completing the first 3. They all connect to each other in different ways. Hours of gameplay for each story. All around great game. What are you waiting for, buy it!
