Enfin LE vrai jeu Saint Seiya

This game is simply the best of the series, with beautiful graphics, everything is there to trace the adventures of the Knights of the Zodiac in the best conditions. Finally, this game reminds a bit of childhood nostalgia and welcome. In 1987, never in my wildest dreams I could have imagined having this result on consoles. Fast delivery and perfect package. Zavvi thank you for the quality of your services

First of all, this game captures the spirit of the anime very well: the models look just like in the anime, and the animations, voice acting and special attacks all match up. As a fan of the anime, it's a great way to relieve this wonderful series. As a game, it has some good points and some flaws. The good points are that controls are very good and responsive, interesting game mechanic and you can spend your level-up points on any character and trait or attack as you see fit. This means I can earn level points with Seiya and spend them on Shiryu, for example. The downside is that the game can get repetitive (especially the non-boss sections) and if you start the game on Normal difficulty, beating later bosses can be hard. It's good to first level up quite a bit before tackling higher difficulties. This brings me to the last negative point of the game: grinding. If you want to beat the higher difficulties AND earn all the trophies, you'll have some grinding to do which, in combination with the repetitive nature, can be a drag. So all in all: a good game for fans of the anime, best enjoyed in short bursts of game play to prevent feeling too repetitive.

AhhhÂ…the nostalgia. There is nothing that sparked my interest in Greek mythology and the zodiac quite like Saint Seiya, possibly one of my favorite Anime's of all time.

This game is much better then I was expecting. If you don't think this will be that good don't let that put you off, and if you like the saint seiya series you will like this game very much. Also this not like the dynasty warriors game if you think it is.

Best Game Ever for Fans

Saint Seiya Sanctuary Battle is what we can call "a perfect game" for the trus fanatics of the show. - Each character feels different. Playing with Seiya you feel like you are Pegasus, acting quickly, jumping high, swifting and evading easily. Even the attacks -kick based- feel like a horse. Playing with Shun, you can feel how shy he is and the liveliness of the chains is awesome. - A large scale of combos. - A good soundtrack. - Japanese voices for those who like is a plus. - The can be quite difficult until you find the right strategy for each Gold Saint. Even middle bosses can be a bit hard. - The overall storyline is not betrayed. You can find some plot twists on the way to a Gold House. Like a middle boss that shouldn't be there. But as I said, as a fan, it's a good surprise and I'm happy to see these Saints/Enemies. It's not like we actually know what happens between each House in the original show so it's still ok. - Ability to level up and spend Points into stats and skills. For example you can increase your Max HP, your Max Cosmos gauge, your Strength, your Defence etc. Points can be spent to make your Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken more powerful etc. - Temporary real time Attack and Defence increases. The more opponent you kill, the more Attack and Defence Orbs you can absorb by charging your Cosmo Energy. All in all, it's an awesome game!

Good game for anyone, it's fun and it only gets better as you upgrade. Great game for Saint Seiya fans, it does really good following the story and it helps that the graphics are really good. The more you upgrade and get used to the controllers, the better the game gets. I recommend it.

It's a great game if you're a great fan of Saint Seiya

When I was a kid, living in Italy, there was a popular TV show/cartoon. In Italy it was called Knights of the Zodiac, and at that time I didn't know it was from the manga called Saint Seiya. Anyway at that time it was my favourite TV show. Half of the game is a scrolling beat-em-up, then once you reach any Palace the game becomes a battle against the Gold Knight in a Dragon ball beat-em-up game style. There's also a Mission mode, where you can choose any Knight you have unlocked and use him in different missions, which are alternative ways of the Story mode. You can play these missions by yourself or with a friend and there is a Survival mode as well. Note that each Knight, the more you use him, the more he'll be leveled up, just like an RPG. Technically, you can't expect this game to be something like a God of War game, but I can guarantee that if you know Saint Seiya and love it, you will love this game as well!

If you like Saint Seiya, you should get this game. Gameplay is similar to the Dynasty Warriors series. Graphics are great and have many improvements from the PS2 version.

A very good action game, especially for Seiya fans! Fast pace action and the character moves look exactly the same as the TV animation. Playing as one of the Gold Saints gives you the true feel and power of Athena's warrior.
