Great return to form!

5

Sonic is back and in two forms - The 2D sections have superb physics and are guaranteed to take any classic Sonic fan back to the 90's with remixed levels and soundtrack. The 3D Sonic is a little fiddly to control at first but once you've got used to the format and his slightly updated set of moves, it is a real thrill to blast through each set of levels. Essentially, you are getting the best of both Sonics and it's been made with care for the fans. An excellent return to form and definitely worth the price of admission!

Great

Great. Graphics is correct. If you played the older Sonic, you will recognize the Original Soundtrack. You can choose to play Sonic 2D or Sonic 3D. If you like speed, you will like Sonic Generations.

Sonic Generations is a compilation in HD of the major titles of Sonic in the past 20 years. The game is a wonderful masterpiece that allows you to play has Classic or Modern Sonic as you race through the levels and revisit old memories, I recommend this game to everyone who loves Sonic The Hedgehog.

Sonic generations

4

Sonic generations manage to combine the old-school 2D game play (and the old sonic design) with the more recent sonic 3D gameplay. That's a great idea, and there is as much level from one type than the other. The game looks really nice, there a tons of details and everything is nicely coloured. The music are cool as always in sonic games! The game is really short is you only do the requirement to advance to the end. But there are a lot of challenges (which only a few of them are mandatory to finish the game). So if you want to beat everything that's going take much longer and give this game a decent life time. Overall sonic generations is a great platform game. If you like Sonic there's NO reason to not pick this game. For other people this is really better than other Sonic games appeared recently, so this can maybe the time to start appreciating the blue hedgehog.

Sonic is coming back...

4

This was the first Sonic title that I have played since Sonic 4 Episode 1. I was really impressed with the game overall. The Old Sonic levels were outstanding, while I found the modern Sonic levels to be just ok. I guess my only problem with the game is that there is too much emphasis on the challenges, when Sega could have put in more stages. Overall, a great game.

Excelente Combination of Sega!

5

Sonic Generations (Exclusive Downloadable Dynamic Themes) is essential for fans of Sonic, a powerful combination of the new Sonic action and adrenaline of the old one, which together make this game something that everyone would like to have. At times it may seem repetitive, but the story makes it very entertaining. It has many things to unlock that make extending the amount of time playable. I highly recommend.

Great Anniversary Edition

4

This is a very good Anniversary Edition. Unlike in several 3D Sonic Games you see that Sega made it with love and when you like the old 2D Sonics, you will love it, too. It's a good mixture of 2D and 3D elements and several levels are remakes of ones you know from older Sonic games. You also have music titles from earlier games (I could hear the music in the menu all day). The story is not very spectacular (Sonic's friends were kidnapped and he has to rescue them) but that never was the thing Sonic is about. It's rather about speeding through funny levels and this you have here. And the part of the story, that new Sonic meets old Sonic, is very innovative and well placed. You can play every Level in two versions. Old one with old Sonic and new one with new Sonic. I think this is a must have for everyone who enjoyed playing Sonic on the Sega Mega Drive. For others, 2D may look a bit antiquated although the graphics are ok for this kind of game. But unfortunately you experience lags every once in a while. Not that intense ones that it really destroys the fun, though.

Sonice Generations a blast from the past with a modern twist.

4

This game is excellent for both new and old fans alike. It's 2 dimensional levels are a nod to the Mega Drive games of old with new features and a brilliant colour scheme, the 3-d levels give a new dimension (pardon the pun) to an old classic and add game-play to a tiring format. I have yet to try some of the other features of the game but I am more than happy with this purchase because it brings back fond memories of playing on Mega Drive at college and the fun when playing 2-players with my mates as Sonic or Tails. A great buy for fans of the franchise both new and old.
