Not like the previous Batmans

There's another team behind this game and the difference is obvious when you start doing the same old tricks from the previous games. The story is not bad but not good as it used to be. The gameplay, altought keeps the same engine, somehow, gets worse. The camera goes crazy when fighting with all the people that like to kill the batman and the predator sections are incredibly easier and the AI just got worse. Also i noticed a bunch of bugs and glitch that I never saw in the previous games (example: people walking towards a wall and don't giving you any attention, or the batman disappearing and reappearing while going up or down in the stairs). What was really enhanced is the investigation. That's is amazing now hands down. Finally you can do something more than just hearing what Mr Wayne has to say about the case and be an active part in the investigation, altought the game won't feel like a real investigator and everything is still set. It's a prequel no only because it's called arkham origins, but also because, somehow, the programmers just took a step back in quality. If you are a batman fan it's a must buy, otherwise just keep playing asylum and city.

Not Quite Arkham City, but...

After the incredible work Rocksteady did on Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, it would be more than a tough act to follow for Warner Bros Interactive in the next title. A little rough around the edges and not quite as lovingly polished, Arkham Origins still maintains - and expands upon - all the core mechanics that make the Arkham games so unique. Combat is still flawless and stealth is as engaging as ever. Arkham Origins might not have the special feel and atmosphere of Rocksteady's Arkham's, in my opinion, but it is still continuing to be the greatest Batman video game series of all time!

If you enjoyed the first two Arkham games (and it would be difficult not to) then you'll experience a bit of a conundrum with Arkham Origins. Made by a different studio than the original two games, already the expectations should be lowered. This game tells a fine story and features most of the same elements of gameplay from Arkham City. It doesn't, however, add anything new to the series and functions more like an expansion pack than a stand alone game. The map may be bigger than Arkham City but it feels less dense and realised. Without the updates for the game there are many bugs, some of them game breaking and which may result in losing save data. If you don't have internet access on your system, stay away from this game. The latest updates seem to have solved most, if not all, of the issues. The multiplayer contains a fun twist but doesn't function as cleanly as you would expect for a high-profile release. Overall, it's a fun game but it does not offer the same high quality and genre-defining progressions offered by Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Worth a play though.

In my opinion a bigger bolder title than the other two this really is a great game with so much to do & the villains are a good challenge all sorts of thugs to deal with. The bosses are tough as I've not long beaten Deathstroke which took some working out where his weakness lay. I highly recommend this game 8.5/10

The dark knight rises

Better than what I was expecting because of not being in the hands of rocksteady. But WB do a good Job and made a solid batman game. Maybe lacks the polish and intention to detail as rocksteadys previous Arkham games but rocksteady did set the bar incredibly high so WB had a good go and made a good game. Definetly worth a purchase especially if you love the dark knight.

Batman Arkham Origins Xbox 360

The more I play this game, the more impressive it gets, and for me this is a worthy of being an Arkham title. At first, I thought this was 'too much' of an Arkham City clone. However, about halfway through the game it reveals itself to have it's own character, with a dark and compelling storyline. The fighting, gadgets and bat toys retain that satisfactory feeling that your living out a Batman graphic novel. The boss fights stand out in particular. The multiplayer is based on a 3 vs 3 vs 2 system and at first takes some getting used to, especially as Batman or Robin. But the great fun in multiplayer arises when you have the opportunity to play as Bane or Joker. My only complaint about is that the game does have it's small share of bugs. WB Montreal have promised a patch to update this. A must for even the casual Batman fan.
