A decent exclusive
4Presentation: One of the major new features in SC:C is the way in which major objectives are shown on the sides of buildings and on the environment, and this is a streamlined way of keeping the game flowing. A strange mechanic that drains the colour from the screen may seem innovative at first, but it turns the environment into a drab lifeless place, the exact opposite of what the game is trying to achieve. The graphics aren't the best on the system but do the job well. The voice acting and scripting could be improved upon, especially the enemy script, but the stroy is just about gripping enough to keep you interested and ignore some of the rough edges with the character models. Presentation is not this game's strong point. 7/10 Gameplay: SC is a stealth game, plain and simple. The years old mechanics of staying in the dark and quiet infiltration are all in place here, and the wonderfully variated level design helps you to use all of you skills to their full potential. The major new addition is the mark and execute system, which is balanced right so it doesn't feel like a cheat but also doesn't feel useless either. The guns are realistically unaccurate, although this makes every weapon that isn't a pistol useless, and this combined with a lack of secondary ammo or silencers on most of the weapons leads to the player always relying on the trusty pistol. Integrated in the game are series of challenges which earn you points to upgrade weapons, but you get enough points to upgrade your weapons of choice within a couple of levels, leaving no incentive to do any more challenges. Despite this, the single player campaign has many enjoyable set-pieces that helps the game flow and to take the strain off some of the mechanics that get repetitive. A memorable level takes place in Afghanistan and plays more like Gears Of War than SC, and another has you going through a maze of laboratories in an example of some of the best level design a stealth game has ever offered. This amazing campaign more than makes up for the unbalanced weapons and outdated mechanics. 8/10 Multiplayer: The lack of pretty much any multiplayer except for one mode that doesn't require you to hurt each other is the most glaring omission here and is the most disappointing aspect of the multiplayer. But the co-op campaign is a blast as it is completely seperate to the single player and, although doesn't have the memorable set pieces, uses the co-op feature to the best of its abilities. The other game modes include a simple "eliminate all enemies" type and a "Nazi zombies/horde" game mode, which are fun distraction but won't last long. Another major problem with the game is matchmaking. Sometimes the game has put me into a game I didn't ask for and at points the connection is lost randomly and I am sent to the main menu, making the previous 20 minutes absolutely useless. 7/10 Closing comments: The single player is short, but a coop campaign and various game modes help flesh out this game, but it won't last many people longer than a few weeks. The game tries to revolutionize the stealth genre, but ends up just improving on an age-old formula. Final Rating: 7/10

Convicted!
5A new Fisher incarnation, just the same Fisher as always free from the "political" chains looking for the truth about his daugther. Fully recomended, great in game videos and a good background to play.

5Just started playing Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction. and it is by far the BEST one yet. Miles better than all the other ones, that have been done in the past. Lets hope if they do another one to floow this one, it is just as good, if not only better

great game
5i got to say this is one of the best splinter cell's out so far the co-op is very good and single is even better i recommend getting this game if your single player or you like playing it with your mates

Bourne Again
5Splinter Cell: Conviction is a much needed shot in the arm for the series. What made the originals stand out is still there (a need to thoughtfully approach a situation and take people out quietly is still possible and well rewarded) but every other element has been redressed from the ground up. The result is a much more entertaining addition to the stealth genre with a main character who finally lives up to his billing as king of spying.

The best one
5For my money, this is the best of the Splinter Cell games. It is more action orientated, but you still can't just run in with all guns blazing - you have to use your noggin. The level set in the first Iraq war is a stroke of genius. Co-op is really cool too. I think it's better than Chaos Theory (aka Splinter Cell 3) which I thought couldn't be topped.
