Love it!

I did not expect too much when I ordered the game. I only ordered it because of all the good reviews. After having played it a few hours, I could understand why the reviews were that good. This game is highly addictive and has some very unusual RPG elements in it. Total recommendation!

Persona 4: Golden is the first time I've tried this kind of RPG. It has a very interesting narration, good graphics, and a crazy story. It's a must have on PS Vita.

Persona 4: Golden is a great game which balances the JRPG and social sim genres incredibly well. It is a well paced game for fans of the genre or not. It has great art style, excellent music and really good characters. It's vita's best game in my opinion.

Persona 4 Golden - Vita

5

Persona 4: Golden is fantastic! From the gripping story and well developed characters, amazing voice acting and well rounded difficulty, it shapes up to provide one of the best gaming experiences on the vita. If not one of the best gaming experiences as a whole! After hearing many rave reviews, I picked this game up and within just two days of it arriving, I'd wracked up over 20 hours of gameplay. It completely absorbed me, urging me to continue the storyline. All-in-all, it's a must-buy and almost a necessity for the Vita!

An Amazing RPG

5

Persona 4: Golden is quite simply the best game available for the PS Vita thus far. An enhanced port of the original PS2 classic, Persona 4: Golden contains an engrossing story with endearing characters that attempt to solve the mysterious murders that are happening within the rural town of Inaba. The gameplay involves fighting malevolent entities known as 'Shadows' through the use of one's 'Persona.' Characters gain experience through fighting shadows and will eventually level up and gain additional powers. There are also social simulation elements to the game: interacting and forming bonds with other individuals will grant your character additional power and the ability to fuse new personae. Persona 4: Golden is an amazing JRPG experience from start to finish. Whether you are a JRPG veteran or a newbie to the genre, Persona 4: Golden is a game worth experiencing.

The RPG that the Vita has been waiting for!!!

5

I have never played a persona game before, but after seeing the reviews and hype surrounding the game, I thought i'd give it a try since I was looking for a good RPG game anyway and Dungeon Hunter Alliance and Ragnorok Oddessy just didn't seem like the games for me! Persona 4 Golden doesn't dissappoint. From its intriguing opening cinematic to its charming soundtrack and fulfilling gameplay it is an absolute joy to play! The story starts with a JRPG/ high school anime cliche of the protagonist coming from the big city to a small town and having to acclimatise to his new surroundings and friends etc. However thats where the similarities between this and other JRPG's end. You're not going to be hunting for crystals/amulets/pieces of junk that allow you to reach a place where you collect more junk to unlock a final boss. No, you will be attempting to solve a serial murder case which, without spoiling too much, is down to you and your new group of friends. The game plays in two distinctly seperate spheres. On the one hand you'll be going to school, shopping and meeting with friends to increase your stats and social links and on the other hand you'll be entering the mysterious TV world where you'll be investigating the strange circumstances surrounding the serial murders. In the former, you will have options of how to spend your time in the ton. You can play sports, study, meet with friends all with the objective of leveling your characters stats such as Knowledge, Courage, Understanding, Expression and Diligence. You will also try to help your friends and other NPc's with small requests which will help you build social links, which are an important game mechanic. The latter in the investigation inside the TV world, which will have you dungeon crawling, killing shadows and fighting using your 'Persona' powers. The battle system is great and progression seems to come at a fair rate. You won't feel lost for hours and you won't feel that it's too easy (there are five difficulty settings you can choose from). Bringing these two spheres together is the engaging story line, told in the context of a high school anime. The inital hour or two of gameplay is fairly linear making you feel like you're playing an interactive anime, but once that is over the world opens up to you and you're free to do as you please. Mix in the beautiful visuals, stylised graphics, the new game+ option and absolutely addictive soundtrack and you have yourself one of the most complete JRPG experiences on the Vita period! Also its networking facilities just add an extra layer into an already amazing package, with a total play time exceeding 100 hours (if, like me, you like to get all the trophies!). I cannot recoommend this game more to anyone that owns a vita. If you're not sure about it just give it a try and I'm sure you'll find it as rewarding an experience as I have!

Best Vita Game

5

Persona 4: Golden is easily the best-reviewed Vita game, so I bought it without really knowing much about it, having never played the series before. I took a chance, and it was well worth it. The game starts slowly, but is a completely engrossing experience once you get into the mystery, and one that is perfectly suited to the Vita's ability to start and stop at any time. Combat sections are easily picked up and spectacular, and the social interactions with the game's superbly-realised and acted characters are believable and wonderfully written. It's unlike any game I've played before, but I'm glad I bought it - I rarely play any of the other Vita games I have thanks to this.

Slow Burner

The only reason Persona 4: Golden doesn't get 5 stars is due to its beginning. The game itself I love, and although I've yet to complete it, I don't see much getting in the way of it being one of my favourites this year so far. This is my first time playing a persona game so I don't know if the others are.similar, but the first 3 hours of this game are what I can only describe as brutal. The repetition and lack.of game play can be mind-numbing, almost to the point where I gave up. Luckily I didn't however, and I was rewarded for my persistence. This is my only warning to first time persona players who are thinking of purchasing this game. Other than that, the game from the 3rd hour in is amazing.
