Great game

Just like the beta really, if you enjoyed that, you will enjoy the game. However, there isn't anything more that has been added to the beta except game modes and maps. Campaign is a let down, and is all multiplayer only.

Titanfall for Xbox ONE is a pure ONLINE campaign and multiplayer experience, depending upon who you are that could be seen as a positive or a negative. If you dont like multiplayer then this may not be for you. Gameplay is straight up FPS from either your pilot's view or your Titan's (a large mechanical behemoth you get to control several times during each campaign or online missions, and is armed with a variety of weapons and ordenance items to enrich/widen the experience). Your character earns XP in all matches, which in turn ranks you up and opens up new configuration slots, pilot abilities/weapons, as well as a host of new titan models, weapons and abilities. At this time there are ten prestiges. All missions in the game are TEAM BASED, there are no solo missions. Each match is pretty intense as the game engine handles human based players and injects AI based players to keep things ticking over, and in my opinion the game does this very well. Graphics, online management, and sound are very impressive, with a good variety of maps and game modes. Games modes include ATTRITION, which is basically TEAM DEATHMATCH, HARDPOINT revolves around capturing and a group of specific map locations (pretty much DOMINATION), LAST TITAN STANDING speaks for itself, plus two other modes. The campaign is played from both perspectives of the different fighting factions and consists of approx ten missions based around the various games modes, in total theres around twenty missions. If you are an acheivement hunter theres plenty to keep you going for some time and these definitely are not overnighters, they will take you a fair few hours to achieve. Overall, if you like FPS, and multiplayer you cant go wrong with this title.

This game is awesome, I'm not a COD fan so I started with low expectations. But this is not COD 2.0 it is awesome. The campaign is weak as it's just online multiplayer with a small intro to each mission but it's still great fun to play. If your thinking should I get this don't think just pick it up you wont regret it

Amazing, but...

I have quite a few games for my new Xbox One, most of which are very mediocre. Thankfully, Titanfall is definitely an exception and has really impressed me so far with its blistering pace, excellent graphics and addictive gameplay. If you put CoD Ghosts on after playing Titanfall, it now looks massively out-of-date. I have a few concerns with Titanfall. One is that the campaign mode is bizarrely pointless (it doesn't matter if you win or lose each battle) - and it's short. Secondly, there is very little scope for achievement as far as I can see. If it weren't for the fact it is incredibly good fun to play, there would be no real incentive to keep playing, if that makes sense. I don't know how long the excitement factor will keep me playing in the long term but I hope it's a long time. While the game looks fantastic and runs fairly smoothly most of the time, I can't help feeling it is pushing Xbox One to its limits and would really benefit from some extra power. Finally, I think its a really bad idea for a game to 100% require Xbox Gold Membership in order to run. If I choose not to renew Gold in the future, my Titanfall disc will become a coaster - this trend could be bad news for the future of gaming. Concerns aside though, Titanfall is an amazing game and is the first to get me excited about next-gen gaming.

Simply Awesome

Titanfall is a fresh breath of air in a stale and bloated genre. Its not the most revolutionary title in the world but it keeps things simple and does it really well. Its a massive amount of frantic, fast paced fun and can be easily enjoyed by hardcore players and casuals alike. Its an incredibly smooth running game, and has a great balance. at no point do you get the feeling that your over or under powered even when stomping around in one of the titans. The maps are a decent size and are beautifully rendered on the Xbox One, with plenty of open space for the titans and some good close in-door action for when your on foot. One of my favorite titan fall moments was battling an enemy titan in a titan of my own and destroying each other at the roughly the same point, then ejecting to see my opponent with me in mid-air where i aimed my smart pistol at him and finished him off, all before landing on the ground. the only downside is the wait between matches seems a bit long but this is nothing major. overall its a great game and I highly recommend it

The game is great, the service from Zavvi is inexcusable. As a AAA game depatched on Wednesday, I would have expected on it on release date which was a few days later Friday. Instead I had it come through Saturday.
