Blu-ray matrix heaven and hell
5The Matrix Trilogy is very mixed. The Matrix is a fantastic film that's well directed, well produced and with great effects. Presented in HD, this film looks stunning with great action sequences. Also, it manages to be one of the few films where Keanu Reeves' wooden-like acting suits the part perfectly. Now this was meant to be a standalone film left open in case the fledgling film makers ever wanted to return to the story. Due to its massive success, the studios immediately demanded sequels. This unfortunately gave us Revolutions and Reloaded - bad decision as big Arnie would say. The second film enables you a slight grip on sense and reality within the fake matrix reality, but was harsh and jumpy in story and direction overall. Finally, there's the third, disjointed excuse of a movie. The less said the better. All in all, I would say despite the weaker second and just plain awful third movies, this Blu-ray box set really is worth the money.

A must have film
5It's difficult to say anything about The Matrix Trilogy that hasn't been said before. My only advice is that everybody should have seen it. On Blu-ray with 5.1 sound... is there anything better?

Exelent sound quallity
5If you want to test your home cinema for maximum sound quality, buy the Matrix Trilogy. All the movies contain Dolby true HD sound (original studio bit-to-bit audio), not just DTS HD. Turn your amplifier/receiver on and don't care about you neighbourhood.

Blockbuster!
5There's nothing like a night on the couch with my favourite blockbuster series. The Matrix has been one of my most favourite movies ever. I have the The Matrix Trilogy on DVD and thanks to Zavvi, I now have it on Blu-ray too. The special effects are amazing, even though the movies are already "ancient".

Classic
4I'm really impressed with The Matrix Trilogy. I think the picture quality and the sound decoding of the second and last discs are phenomenal. The first disc's storyline still presents far superior content then the rest.
