5Demon's Souls is not a game for everyone. Actually, I take that back; it's most definitely something everyone should try, but the look, seemingly unforgiving nature and themes might be a bit off-putting. Don't let them be. Every single person that owns a PS3 should at the very least rent this game to see what all the fuss is about, and those that can remember the good ol' days when games taught through the highly effective use of intense punishment and a heavy price for not playing it carefully should scoop this up instantly. It's utterly unique among the offerings on any console right now, and absolutely, positively should not be missed.

Modern classic, but hard as nails
5This game provides an excellent experience, as long as you are able to adapt to it's unforgiving mechanics. In this age of gaming, regenerating health, and auto-checkpoints are basically in every genre. Failure is not punished at all. This is not the case for Demon's Souls. It's almost the exact opposite of modern gaming. So, if you are up to the challenge, please invest in this title. It is one of my best purchases in recent years.

A big surprise and a great game
5One of the best PlayStation 3 games and one of the pleasant surprises as well. A game like those of yesteryear, those who do not forgive mistakes. An RPG with a combat system exquisite, stunning graphics, but overall, very satisfying after you meet the objectives, this due to its difficulty. If you like challenges and overcoming them gives them satisfaction, then do not hesitate to buy this great game.

grab every soul
5Demon's Souls is not for everyone. It is a very difficult game. Many times have I seen the dreaded red letters telling me I have died, but just to give some charm to the tension, you can play online with other players. All in all this game will be perfect for you if you're a fan of Diablo. Recommended.

Masterful
5Demon's souls is easily my favourite game this Gen. There are reasons for that aplenty, but I think the main thing I liked about the game is the fact that it copies nothing from other games in the industry. For starters, the combat is genius. Everything you do is crucial, and I do say Everything. You need to time your attacks perfectly and at the same time watch your stamina bar as you roll and block. You can't hack and slash, nor cheat your way through the game. It is essential that you understand that the game is not ''Hard'', it only tests your ability to understand your surroundings and be smart. You have many types of weapons and spells, and you also have classes to choose from. Each class has it's own merits, but eventually you can create new classes yourself and replace the ones that you have started with. You can upgrade your weapons and spells in many types of ways and create a powerful and unique character, in PVE and PVP. The currency in the game is ''Souls'' which is money and experience to level up. You will lose your souls many times and you will eventually understand their importance. There are many bosses in this game, and each one is unique, difficult and most importantly, HUGE. The bosses in the game look like small mountains that came to life and require some thinking and skill in order to defeat them. The bosses are located in the ending of each level. The level design is not linear, meaning that you can choose the levels you want to start with. The graphics are amazing and each level looks and feels different. You will be in a medievel castle, a dragon's lair, a giant swamp and so on. The atmosphere in the game builds up and puts you in a mood that turns on your senses( in other words you will become a little paranoid). The game has some very unique online features that blend with the single player. You can invade other players worlds and can be invaded accordingly. You can fight alongside other players in their worlds and summon up to three players to your world. You can see messeges on the floor, written by other players that can sometimes worn you from traps etc. Demon's souls is an intimidating game from first glance, but once you understand how everything works and truely sink your teeth into this unique and epic experience, you will never look back, I know I didn't. :)
