Fantastic
5LA Noire plays out a lot like a movie, but because you are the investigator, you can get things wrong, miss evidence and put away the wrong person. to get the best experience you need multiple play-through's to see every angle the game could go. the facial expressions though are by far the best thing. they are really life like and really make you look for every subtle movement to see if they are lieing to your face. keep on making the great games rockstar!

Exceptional
5Arguably one of the best games ever made, which sounds like an exaggeration but really is not. Visually astonishing, achieved by getting actual actors (and famous actors at that) to actually play the parts of the leads, fantastic plot and great, engrossing game play. This is basically a demonstration of what truly amazing games should be like.

one of the best games ever made
5LA Noire is a game, but in practice, its more like an interactive movie. The graphics are astonishing - the facial expressions, to give just one example, are unlike any game I've ever played before. I was so impressed by them that I looked it up and it turns out the producers have actually used actors and special facial expression cameras to detect subtle movements and to portray them faithfully in the game. I loved how much detail went into crafting the backstory and all the characters being acted (the main character being acted by an actor who stars in Mad Men) really does show up in the believability of the game. I would happily keep play this 12 hours a day, if only the story would keep going!

5I was really surprised when I started playing L.A. Noire. The facial animation and gestures are very realistic, thanks to the unique motion-capture technlogy. It's really great. Playing L.A. Noire, I feel like Monk, Colombo or some of the CSI guys. It's really awesome. It's a must-have game.

Great detective game
4When I saw the first trailer for L.A. Noire, I was immediately impressed by its new technology of emotion capture of the actors (notice that I said emotion). Furthermore, the environments were very well captured, and the fact that it would bring new gameplay aspects, such as trying to figure out if a person is telling the truth, lying or in doubt, were enough to persuade me into buying this game. I must say though that I'm not a big fan of open environment games such as GTA, and maybe that's why I like this game so much because, although this is an open environment game, you don't need to play it as such. I absolutely loved this game and I think it deserved a prize (at least for technical achievement in the face emotion capture, which I think was a breakthrough in the game industry). However, the only reason I don't give it the maximum rating is the fact that it has a strange twist near the end, that I'm not very fond of. On balance, I think you should not hesitate to buy this game, especially at this price, and taking into consideration that the complete edition is available (and is indeed a must have).

Amazing
5It's incredible how the animation is done in L.A. Noire. Fluid and 'real-like'. The story is also really good, though some might find it slow paced. If you like open worlds, detectives, and fancy cars, this is the game for you!

2L.A. Noire isn't bad, don't get me wrong - but after the first playthrough it becomes really boring since you can't skip the cutscenes, which is a major turn off for trophy hunters, and so this is the reason I rated it so low, but it is great just for fun.

LA Noire
5L.A. Noire is a great game, although it has different atmosphere than GTA. It has great graphic, and superb soundtrack from famous artist. If you like this kind of game, you must try this game.
