Hardcore again!!
5Are you fan of role playing games? Are you bored of games you beat with minimal effort? Do you want a game which will provide you with challenge, like the good old days? If you answer these three questions with a yes then Dark souls is a game for you. The biggest achievement of this game is that fact that it combines the elements of a modern game with the old school difficulty settings. You will die a lot to find the right answers but every battle you win, every step at the right direction is something you can feel proud about it. This game is for all those hardcore gamers out there. If you want something more friendly pick Skyrim. If you want hell on your console get dark souls. Don't miss it!

Dark Souls a bright light in gameplay
5Being told by my friends and most of the intertubes that Dark Souls is "punishing" and "you die a lot" made me a little reticent to try it as I'm not a hardcore gamer, but the raving about the satisfaction and recent price drops tipped me over the edge. I was not disappointed. The open world structure and need for concentration and skill really appeals. Glances of upcoming, huge bosses throughout the game inspire and terrify. My favourite on the Xbox so far.

Best Action RPG of 2011
5Dark Souls is challenging and rewarding, able to give the player a huge sense of accomplishment. You don't believe me? Come back after you've managed to beat down a boss after being brutally murdered 15 times. Dark Souls is unforgiving with its players; if you make a mistake, the game makes sure you pay for it, with interest. In order to survive you need to stay focused, observe your enemies movements, and react quickly to them. This also leaves room for countless strategies to be utilised for each enemy (or group of enemies). The game also entangles you with the mystery of its lore, and the vastness of its world. Different from many modern games, Dark Souls doesn't spew out everything to the player, instead it's up to him/her to look for clues and discover the game's background. Each new area adds a piece to the puzzle and that only makes the game more and more interesting. Dark Souls is a rare pearl in the modern gaming industry filled with FPS games and bad RPG wannabes who can only recycle the same clichés over and over. It is definitely a must have for any hardcore RPG fan.

Dark Souls: a must have RPG
5Dark Souls is an RPG very difficult: it often happens to die, even for banal errors. But is an old style title: if you die is always for an your error, and with the time you learn to perfect yourself, to file your technique of combat, adapting you to the fighting style of a rich and variegated bestiary, that populates the game world. The world is truly likely, full of mysteries and secrets to discover. And you will be pushed to fight many times over also with the same enemies in order to level up your personage, in an action game truly fascinating. The fine bosses of zones are spectacular, smart, very well realized, never equal. If you like Diablo and action,action, action RPG, Dark Souls is a must have. PS For Italian: the game is fully english, but it is easy to understand also with a scholastic knowledge of the language. And the Zavvi price is the best on the market.

Dark Souls Xbox 360
5The cover of Dark Souls says "Prepare To Die"... Prepare to die indeed! They are not wrong. The difference with this game is that somehow they've made it so you expect to die, and when you don't you think either you're a genius or it's a mistake. When you do die it goes beyond personal!! Every time you win any battle you can't wait for the next one. Trust me.... Wait!! Excellent game and amazing graphics. Well worth the challenge.

It hurts so good
5"It hurts so good", these are the words used by my boyfriend to describe his experience. He cannot put the game down, constantly going to sleep at 6am only to get back up and play some more. I should not have bought him this game, it is far too good an experience. Ps he wouldn't die so much if he listened to my directions.

Game from Hell?
5First, very fast deliver from Zavvi. Second, the game is beast, its very hard and keep me playing it all time, its the best game i played since years. The fight system, the creature design, the whole gameplay is totally awesome.

Fantastic RPG
5Personally my favourite game since Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - Its a fantastic challenging game. Great combat, great atmosphere, RPG at its best. Better experience over all than Skyrim in my opinion. Dark Souls is the spiritual successor to Demons Souls which was exclusive to PS3 and also a fantastic critically acclaimed game.

Caution is key
5If you're tired of this generation's easy games(I know I am) then this is for you. Dark Souls offers what every other RPG out there have but more. You simply cannot just button mash yourself through this game. You have to play with caution and study the enemies movement and attack pattern to survive.
