Sleeping Tiger
4I bought Sleeping Dogs as it was quite cheap for a new game and it had very good reviews, both from customers and also review sites. My initial reaction to playing it was disappointment. It seemed like a GTA style remake, although I like GTA, this seemed a bit sub par. The driving isn't as slick as GTA, the graphics are okay. There are quite a lot of things to do, moves to unlock etc. so you never seem to get bored which is good. There's a lot of hand to hand combat and enough moves to keep it fresh. Also guns etc later on which is fun with the slow motion (like Max Payne). The story is very good. A lot better than I expected. No Multiplayer which is prob why its dropped in price so quick. There are a few bugs where I've jumped onto something and got stuck but nothing that spoils the game too much. In summary it's a decent game... I'd see it more as a filler until the next big game comes out, I'd have been disappointed if I'd have paid full price, but having said that I have enjoyed it.

5Sleeping Dogs is at a good price for an excellent quality game. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys the GTA games.

Not My Style....
2If you're into annoying combat, bad driving and a story that's hard to follow. This game is for you!

4A great game, and some excellent game mechanics - It's amazing the amount of animations and methods of 'getting rid' of rival gang members as you parade the streets of Hong Kong. Personally finding it a bit hard to follow the story and who's who etc. and as such i've not formed any attachment to the main character which means the whole storyline leaves me a bit cold and generic. However, as above, the game mechanics are great - there's some really surprising elements that pop up during the game, such as Karaoke mini-games and some Hollywood-esque chase scenes (Cars, Boats, Bikes and Foot). Being an undercover cop trying to take down the triads from the inside, the game is sold on the basis that you have to keep the balance between the two organisations sweet. In reality however, this is just a point scoring exercise and therefore determines how quick you 'level up' to new moves. At the end of each mission you can see how you're doing. There's new skills to learn for both cop actions, and gang actions. (i.e. Cop skills involve being able to break into a car quicker, The latter involves being able to break someones leg easier!). So, to sum this up, Technically great, one of the best releases of the year, but for me, the storyline just hasn't grabbed me. Doesn't make it a bad game, but stops it from being truly amazing. But hey, that's probably just me.

The game of the year!
4Sleeping Dogs should be the game of the year because it is a two-sided game. It's really good that you can use martial arts and free running in the game.

5One of the best open world games i have played in a while with a strong story and great controls. The game is filled with loads to do and is full of action from start to finish.

This should be a Game of the year game!
5Sleeping Dogs is amazing it is a great 2 sided game; 1 undercover cop seeking out gangs, 2 stuntmen and altogether ninjas! It is a great way to find out names of cities and towns because it is an open world game and good combat just like my old most favourite game batman arkam city!
