The Wii U Console: 32GB Nintendo Land Premium Pack is a fantastic product! It provides hours and hours of fun! You can now make your little Mii character by taking a photo, which gave us endless fun at Christmas with my ten family members! Beware before you give it as a gift, as it takes a long time to update the console so you may wish to do this before you give it as a present .

Wii U Console

I must admit I was unsure about the Wii U Console: 32GB Nintendo Land Premium Pack. I'm a fan of Nintendo and have owned all of their previous consoles. The lack of a core franchise launch game really put me off buying one, but I have to say Nintendo have done it again! ZombiU is a must have game and really takes advantage of the new game pad. The online experience is a massive improvement over the Wii and at the moment is free! Roll on Aliens Colonial Marines, Zelda HD and Metroid HD!

I'm not a gamer myself, I bought this Wii U Console: 32GB Nintendo Land Premium Pack as a last minute gift for my 11 year old son, an avid Nintendo fan. The console was a hit.

Great console!

Bought this for my fellah (and kids) for Christmas. There were a few initial problems getting it started up, something to do with connecting to our wi-fi. (luckily I have a technological wizard as a brother in law)! It takes a while to download all the info before you get going (not good for impatient young ones). Easy to transfer all our stuff from our old wii onto the wii u, in fact it was quite entertaining watching the pickmin move all the files. We've only been playing a couple of days but it has been a BIG hit in the family. Nintendoland is good fun, the new controller is really good, also like the fact my stepson can play on the wii u using the new controller but we can be watching the TV.

Off on a good start

I've got to say, the Wii U Console is a good start for Nintendo's foray into HD gaming. The controller is light and when used well, it can add something rarely seen in home consoles, offering up new ways to interact with the games in question. There are still some things which need to be worked out but it looks like Nintendo has built better foundations which should see it do well in the next generation.

A great new addition

Firstly, let me make it clear that I am a Nintendo fan. I have owned all their consoles since the NES. With that out of the way, I have to say that I am very happy with the WiiU. True, it doesn't have the same innovative impact as the Wii did. We're all used to the motion controls that Nintendo introduced us too years ago, and now adopted by the other consoles. We're all used to touch screens since the DS and now tablets and mobile phones all have them. The biggest innovations this time are the social integration of the MiiVerse, a very friendly and collaborative gaming social network, and the asymmetrical gameplay that Nintendo demonstrate so well in Nintendo Land. Nintendo have never really done 'online' very well, they've addressed that here with the new eShop and the MiiVerse. They've never done HD before......ticked that box too. What they add is that hard to define 'Nintendoness' that akes this a console for everyone now, as even the true gamers can get cross format releases that compete with other console versions, and in many cases improve on them. It's early days, and I am sure there is more to come. I'm loving every minute of the wait.

Great but could be better.

Having used the Wii console for several years I was expecting the Wii U to offer a marked improvement but was slightly disappointed. The graphics on the Wii U are great and the game pad is a touch of genius but it is much slower than the Wii when booting up and loading games. The launch games were mostly of the same genre but Nintendo Land offers choices for all the family and is great fun. The older Wii games can be played on this console but it has to reboot into the old Wii menu to run them and the connect24 news and weather channels are no longer available. Notwithstanding these negative points the console certainly holds its own against the rival systems and is great fun to use and I would heartily recommend it for the whole family.

At last

The Wii U Console definitely does not disappoint. It's light years ahead in terms of innovative game play and use of technology. Then again, a console is only as good as its games. Nintendo land is a fantastic example of how the console's game pad can change the way games are played, whilst ZombieU is brilliant for hardcore players looking for a strong, survival challenge.

Having received the Wii U bang on the release date, I was not sure what to expect as there has been a lot of skepticism and negative press surrounding the launch. However, once the machine was powered up and the initial update had finished, I was mightily impressed. The game pad is excellent and everything about the set up just feels right. NintendoLand is a very enjoyable compilation of mini games and there's something for everyone in it. I also ordered ZombiU and, even though the graphics are not as polished as a game might be a couple of years into the consoles life, the atmosphere and gameplay are excellent. It genuinely is a survival horror game, so don't expect to be running around with an arsenal of weapons, annihilating anything that moves. The inability to go berserk on the zombies really adds to the tension and forces to you consider your next move and think ahead. The gamepad is integral to the gameplay and tension, as when you use it for inventory the zombies can still get to you. I could go on about the Miiverse and eShop and countless other features but I'll just say one more thing: before you decide the Wii U is not for you on the strength of other peoples opinions, PLAY IT.

I'm happy

The Wii U is a good console with an array of games. Nintendo Land is a good game but it's to be played with friends. I would suggest you buy an extra game with it for solo play. The ability to play with just the game pad is very welcome. Overall I'm happy and look forward to more games.
