Written and directed by Academy Award winning director Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs), Django Unchained stars Oscar winner Jamie Foxx (Ray) as Django, a freed slave who gathers help from German bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz - Best Supporting Actor Oscar winner) whilst on a mission to save his wife from a ruthless Mississippi plantation keeper (Leonardo DiCaprio). With Dr. King Schultz on a mission himself to track down the murderous Brittle brothers, he and Django must now team together and assist each other using vital bounty hunting skills to achieve their objectives. Also starring Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson, Django Unchained is a bold, bloody and gripping story of the difficult times endured in the South at the time of the Civil War. With a touch of light comedy along the way, it once again displays Tarantino's ability to astound viewers. - T.P

Great movie great blu-Ray great price ! Thank you zavvi.
One of the best Movies from Mastermind Quentin Tarantino. The Blu-ray Quality with a lot of Bonus Featuresis excellent.
I thought Tarrantino had lost his touch, when I watch Deathproof, but he has seemingly found it again, first with ' Inglorious Basterds ', and now with ' Django Unchained ', it has the typical humor and blood, that we have come to know with Tarrantino. I totally enjoyed this movie, so if you like his earlier work, I would say, that you will enjoy this.
I ordered from Germany and I am very satisfied with delivery-time and the movie's price.
Enjoyed this movie from start to finish.
Although the film has got a little bit too long, Tarantino returns with, Django Unchained 'a harmonious, as expected, high-pitched mix of rough Western revenge drama and slavery-Portrait
The best Tarantino ever. Starts like a popcorn movie, but every minute you watch, it will catch you more and more, and rises up to a 5 Star western. Include some nice allusions and insinuation to other films -typical Tarantino-. And suddenly 165 minutes are gone, and you are stunned and overwhelmed. Its a movie you must view a second or a third time again. Highly recommended. Picture - 8 of 10 (Blu-ray) at few sequences some image noise Extras - 6 of 10 (Blu-ray) for a BD to little, for a DVD its ok Following refers to german soundtrack: Sound - 8 of 10 (Blu-ray) disharmony at some sequences (DD 5.1)
If you enjoy watching Tarantino movies this Django Unchained (Includes UltraViolet Copy) is a must-have for your collection. For me, this is without doubt the movie of the year.
Django Unchained (Includes UltraViolet Copy) has a raw, powerful story that's true to Tarantino's style.
Django Unchained (Includes UltraViolet Copy) is a must have for any fan of Tarantino's films. It's an epic film with great songs.
The ordering process was easy and stress free, the price for Django Unchained was competitive and the delivery was quick! What more could I ask for?! Time to actually watch the film would be nice!
It has long been acknowledged director Quentin Tarantino's love of spaghetti westerns. What greets us with 'Django Unchained' is a lovingly crafted homage to the western complete with some nice musical nods to Ennio Morricone, the composer of most of that genre. Jamie Foxx stars as the slave turned bounty hunter out to rescue his wife from plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). Foxx is aided on his quest by legendary bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). There is also a cameo role for a heavily made up Samuel L. Jackson as the head slave Stephen. The film is packed with explosive action and the script oozes with sharp crisp witty one liners especially from Waltz. At over two and a half hours long, this fits into the epic category but the mixture of action and dialogue keeps you glued to the screen and time soon flies in. A fantastic movie with excellent performances from all of the cast. Waltz, for me, steals the show as Schultz with Jackson coming a close second as the suspicious slave. Even if your not a western fan or a fan of Mr. Tarantino, please consider this.
As good as I had hoped it would be. Some comedy moments in all the mayhem, a good Tarantino movie. Blu ray quality in my opinion seemed like it could have been better, but I'm not too sure, it just seemed that way to me.
