The Adventures Of Tintin is the innovative and visually stunning film brought to you by the ingenious partnership between legendary American director Steven Spielberg, and renowned New Zealand producer Peter Jackson. The film was ingeniously adapted from the original comic book The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn by the Belgian artist Hergé, in motion capture, allowing your favourite and well loved Tintin characters to come to life.
The story begins with our protagonist Tintin (voiced by Jamie Bell), the avid reporter whose curiosity is never sated, when he purchases an old wooden model ship called The Unicorn in a marketplace. However, this beautiful model contains a deadly secret, and soon Tintin finds himself dragged in to a quest for treasure that has raged for centuries. Treasure for which people have both killed and died for, and if Tintin isn't careful, he'll be next!
Enlisting the help of his trusty dog Snowy, the drunkard Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis) and the twin investigators Thompson and Thomson (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost), Tintin must now go to the ends of the earth in order to collect all three clues hidden within the three identical model ships. Clues which will lead him to the legendary treasure of Sir Francis Haddock, the ancestor of Captain Haddock, who sank his treasure-laden ship to stop it from falling in to the hands of the infamous pirate Red Rackham.
Travel the world with Tintin and his companions in his quest to uncover the truth behind Sir Francis Haddock's treasure and discover its whereabouts, in this incredibly thrilling and visually breathtaking film. -C.E.

A fun film spectacle
Although The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is not quite as charming as Hergé's original TinTin stylings - Spielberg's update will have undoubtedly brought the character to a whole new audience. There's a lovely little touch at the start shows the digital TinTin getting his caricature drawn by a street artist to reveal Hergé's original drawing, which is cute! This is an enjoyable romp that the whole family will enjoy.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn - Triple Play (Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Copy)
Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson have done an excellent job with The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, and have demonstrated admirably that the trust given to them by the family of the late Hergé has been well placed. The film retains all the elements of Hergé's comic strip, but adds realism that would be impossible to achieve without the use of motion-capture. I found the balance between humour and action was about perfect, and found myself captivated from start to finish with plenty of chuckles and the odd guffaw along the way. Well done to Steven Spielberg for his direction of this film, and I can't wait to see Peter Jackson's directing of the next in the series.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn - Triple Play (Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Copy)
I really enjoyed The Secret of the Unicorn. It has lots of good action, just like the original Indiana Jones films with a good story, too. Technically it's very well done and all the characters have realistic moment due to the motion capture technique used. How the film was made is included in the extras. The Blu Ray is very good quality and shows off all the detail and work that went into designing the settings. I can't wait for the next one.

Blown away!!
Wow! What a shock this was!! I really was expecting this film to be a bit half hearted and not necessary but, I thought I'd give it a chance, nonetheless. I put it on and settled down with my girls, expecting to be asleep ten minutes later, but ohhhh no! The film gripped me from the very beginning right up to the satisfying end (with a hint at a sequel, which has since been confirmed.....well......two sequels actually!!). Not only was the action and adventuring extremely well done, but the humor was absolutely spot on, thanks to Captain Haddock and his drunken shenanigans!! It really does have some laugh out loud moments. All in all, a fantastic film for ALL the family that has a bit of everything in it! Couldn't recommend it enough. And if you have an HD TV but not a Blu-Ray player, it's worth getting one to watch the High Definition version of this film. Simply stunning, right down to the floating dust particles in the air and the evil villain's hair blowing in the breeze!!! You can pick up a player for less than £50 these days so there really is no excuse!! All in all, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! 9/10

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn - Triple Play
The Secret of the Unicorn is fabulous! Anyone who has enjoyed even one of the memorable comic books, will find this film terrific. It's a motion-capture cartoon in 3D and has been done so well, the graphics are almost too good to view - remembering this is a cartoon. The story is so rich, that you need more than one look. For Tintin fans, there are several set-pieces straight off the covers of Herge's best known books. With Speilberg and Jackson creating this film, no wonder it's a masterpiece, and it will certainly become a cinematic classic. Just fabulous!
