A clever pre superhero film
5Though now over 20 years old, The Rocketeer - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook remains undated, partly because of the original setting. The special effects were cleverly done and still look fine. Timothy Dalton plays the villain with his usual charm and of course the girl gets saved in the end.

5This fondly remembered movie finally arrives with the The Rocketeer - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook, with beautiful steelbook packaging that perfectly compliments the retro '30's feel of the movie within. If ever there was a steelbook designed to evoke its contents, it is this one. I cannot imagine that anybody would be less than overjoyed with this product, as it is exquisite!

5The Rocketeer - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook is a 1991 American period superhero adventure film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by Joe Johnston, the film stars Billy Campbell, Jennifer Connelly, Alan Arkin, Timothy Dalton, Paul Sorvino and Tiny Ron Taylor. Set in 1938 Los Angeles, California, The Rocketeer tells the story of stunt pilot Cliff Secord who discovers a jet pack that enables him to fly. His heroic deeds attract the attention of Howard Hughes and the FBI, as well as sadistic Nazi operatives. I loved this movie when I was a kid. I still do. The original poster art from theatres on the Blu-ray steelbook is awesome.

4The film a bit dated as the effects go, but good family fun. However the steelbook is very good and worth having in the collection If you can still get hold of one.

3The Rocketeer was a blind buy for me and one I regret. The film hasn't aged well at all, the effects are average at best and the acting is wooden. The action is boring and some of the dialog is shocking, this is really a title I do regret buying. The steelbook is a lovely looking steel but it's a shame the film isn't.

5I got my copy yesterday which I love very much, Love the artwork and the embossed title. I gave this movie 5 stars but I still have a disappointment...the packaging of the product could be improved.
