Outstanding war film
I was an extra in this movie (on the beach with the Irish Army Reserves) so perhaps my opinion is biased but this is one of my favourite war films of all time. Everything about this film is top class, as you'd expect from a director like Spielberg. Great cast, great script, great locations and the style of shooting this is fantastic, it really makes you feel part of it. There are a couple of weak characters and a few holes but overall this film is amazing right from the start. And what a start, you'll find few films which make an impact right from the start like this one does. Vital part of any war collection. What we need now is to see this in 3D.
