One of the best co-op games our there

5

If you've never played a Resident Evil game before, this a pretty good place to start. Not too scary but not too soft either. With all extra content included on the disc, there's hours of fun to enjoy! Reasonably priced, this is a title worth having.

Great game, but short

5

I found it very entertaining and addictive, but it has made me short, still recommended purchase, it's great.

Underrated

5

From what I know, hardcore Resident Evil fans despise RE5 more or less because it introduced the series fully to the action horror genre. Well, it's true, but if you can live with it and look at it as it's own game, it's terrific! Because the action is actually really well executed and the Coop-Part, locally via Splitscreen, is especially great! Try it out!

A bit antiergonomic, but fun in online ccop

4

The gameplay is a bit awkward at first (never played Resident Evil games before), but once you get used to it, it is playable and fun if you use either the split screen (two players in the same console) or the online cooperative mode difficult to set up, BTW; you have to: * go online in you PS3 * enter Resident Evil 5 * start a game * use the PS button to access the XMB * go to your friend of choice and you'll find a new button under their throphies called "Resident Evil 5 Gold" * select that button and a popup menu with just an option will appear: "Invite". * your friend will receive the message and will have also a RE5 button with the "Accept invitation" message. In the end, my nephew and me were in excess of two hours playing the game in the normal difficulty level before we had to quit to have dinner. So it is funny. :-) However: * It is not as frightening as I expected. I have to play alone with headsets in the hard level after midnight, though; this may change my opinions about it. * Army Of Two has better gameplay (but Army Of Two, specially the 40th Day, is probably the best co-op game I've ever played!) * Graphics are good (specially Shiva, the girl, is cuuuute!) :-) but not amazing. All in all, it worths the sale price it has. Some other reviews will have a better critic regarding how it compares to other Resident Evil games.

Get it

It may be not as good as Resident Evil 4, but it's nonetheless a very good game in it's own regard. I would recommend it.

5th part from a legendary sequel

5

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition is an absolutely satisfying game, the kind of gaming experience you would expect from Capcom. Enter the thrilling world of Resident Evil 5 - a horrifying adventure from the outskirts of an African city, through the African savannah and into the secret labs of the corporation Umbrella. Fight your way through tons of the most ugliest creatures born in the freakish minds of their creators. And don't expect your quest to be easy! If you survive all the horror, it is not over yet. Enjoy 2 additional missions with the most remarkable female character in the history of gaming - Jill Valentine, each one with a different partner. A must-play is the multi-player version of the game.
